We lift up this young man and his battle with cancer, standing in the gap with hearts full of compassion and faith. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds. We ask that You guide the hands of the surgeons and medical team as they attempt to place this port once more. Lord, You are the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way—part the waters of uncertainty and fear, and let this procedure be successful. We declare that Your healing power flows through his body, restoring strength and hope with every beat of his heart.
We also remember his wife and the kindness they showed during a difficult time. Lord, bless them abundantly for their selflessness and love. May they feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that seeks to take hold, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Father, we know that healing comes from You alone, whether it be through medicine, miracles, or Your perfect will. We trust in Your sovereignty and ask that You sustain this family through every trial. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them draw near to You, for You have promised that when we draw near to You, You will draw near to us (James 4:8). May they find comfort in Your Word, which declares that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We also take a moment to lift up the eternal state of this young man’s soul. Lord, if he does not yet know You as his personal Savior, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way. Open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel—that Jesus Christ came to earth, died for our sins, and rose again so that we might have eternal life. Let him confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that God raised Him from the dead, for it is with the heart that one believes and is justified, and with the mouth that one confesses and is saved (Romans 10:9-10). May he experience the peace that comes from knowing his sins are forgiven and his eternity is secure in You.
For his wife, we pray that she would lean on You, Lord, and find her strength in You alone. Remind her that You are her refuge and fortress, her God in whom she can trust (Psalm 91:2). Surround them both with a community of believers who will uplift them in prayer and support them in practical ways.
We declare over this situation that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, healing, and restoration over this young man’s body, mind, and spirit. May Your will be done in his life, and may Your name be glorified through every outcome.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
