I come to you in request for prayer and response to my prayers . It has been 1 month since the passing of my mother due to a fire in her apartment because of an electrical outlet. I then was terminated from my job 1 week after that . My mother didn’t have any insurance of any kind so ALL the FINANCIAL responsibility has been on me , plus we are in different states so it was extra to have her transported here . I haven’t seen my mother in years due to us arguing so much so I avoided contact with her. I wasn’t able to see my mom and had to settle for just her casket cause she was in too bad of condition due to the fire . I had to rely on outsiders and a Gofundme to help with burial cost and I’m still in the rear a lot !!! Me having to deal with my mom’s immediate passing, the way she passed, having to notify everyone, having to deal with loosing my job 1 week later and trying to find new employment still while battling. I have no funds and I have my last check coming but that is for the bills and unemployment isn’t enough to pay everything . PLEASE !!!!! Pray for me !!!! I’m applying all day and everyday for work . I just keep getting rejection emails, and these are jobs I have prior experience and qualifications for . I’m already not trying to worry about my own bills , now I have the funeral home that has made me responsible to settle the remaining of the bill … PLEASE ….. I’m a mother of 4 older kids and I have told my kids I lost my job …. I have ahas a hard time staying stable with work and I can’t look like I’m irresponsible to my kids . I’m having to fake it and appear that I’m okay when I’m not . I haven’t even had a chance to mourn cause I have to figure out how to come up with the funds for my mom’s expenses and still my own . I stay in prayer , Proverbs 3 , 5-6 & Psalms 34:4 are some of the many I frequently use amongst many others to help me. PLEASE pray for my circumstances !!! I’m trying to keep my sanity and still appear that I’m okay when on the inside I feel empty. I don’t have any friends or family. My mom and grandmother ( both have passed ) were my only family I was close to. Please pray for recovery, favorable responses from employers . I need closure about what happened to my mom there are several missing pieces. I thank you in Jesus name , Amen

We hear your cry, dear sister, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. The weight you carry is more than any one person should bear, grief, financial strain, joblessness, and the added burden of unresolved conflict with your mother before her passing. Yet even in this valley of shadows, we declare that the Lord is your Shepherd, and He has not abandoned you. You are not alone, though it may feel that way. The God who collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8) sees your exhaustion, your fear, and your desperate need for provision and peace.

First, we must address the deep sorrow you carry over your mother. The regret of not reconciling before her death is a wound only the Lord can heal. Scripture tells us, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men" (Romans 12:18). Though you cannot change the past, you can bring your pain to Jesus, who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). We pray for your heart to find closure, not in the answers you seek about the fire, but in the truth that God works all things, even this, for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). The missing pieces may never be fully explained, but we trust that the Lord will reveal what you need to know in His perfect timing.

The financial pressure you face is crushing, and we rebuke the spirit of lack in Jesus’ name. The enemy would love to keep you in bondage to fear, but God has promised to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We declare that every debt, every bill, and every expense will be met, not by your strength, but by His. We pray for favor in your job applications, that doors would open swiftly for employment that values your skills and provides for your family. The Lord knows your diligence, and He will not forget your labor of love (Hebrews 6:10). We also encourage you to seek out local churches or Christian organizations that may offer financial assistance or grief counseling. You do not have to carry this alone.

Your children are watching, and though you feel the weight of appearing strong, we remind you that God’s strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). You do not have to fake stability, bring your raw emotions to the Lord, who invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Your honesty with your children about hardship can be a testimony of faith, showing them how to trust God in trials. We pray for wisdom as you parent, that you would lead them with grace and truth.

We also want to gently address the isolation you feel. The Lord never intended for you to walk through life without community. We encourage you to reach out to a local church, even if it’s just to attend a service or a small group. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there are believers who will stand with you in prayer and practical support. If you’re unsure where to start, we can help connect you with resources.

Lastly, we want to remind you of the hope found only in Jesus Christ. You mentioned praying through Proverbs 3:5-6 and Psalm 34:4, and we rejoice that you are seeking the Lord. But we must ask: Have you placed your trust in Jesus as your Savior? The Bible tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and in Him, you will find peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our sister who is carrying so much. Lord, You see her grief, her financial strain, her fear, and her exhaustion. We ask that You would wrap Your arms around her and remind her that she is not alone. Comfort her in her sorrow over her mother, and bring healing to the wounds of regret. Provide for her every need, Father, open doors for employment, soften the hearts of those who can help, and release supernatural provision. Give her wisdom as she parents her children, and surround her with a community of believers who will love and support her. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of despair and declare that joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). Strengthen her faith, and let her see Your hand at work in every detail of her life. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.

Keep pressing into the Lord, dear sister. He is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He will not fail you. We will continue to stand in the gap for you.

We are so sorry for the weight you are carrying, losing your mom in such a traumatic way, the financial crush, the job loss, and the loneliness of grieving without the closure you long for. That is an enormous load, and it makes complete sense that you feel empty and stretched thin while trying to keep up a brave front for your kids.

You mentioned you haven’t had a chance to mourn because you have to keep scrambling for funds. We want to gently remind you that grief doesn’t wait for a convenient time; it often leaks out in exhaustion, frustration, or numbness. It is okay to not be okay, even for a few minutes at a time. You are not irresponsible for being in pain; you are a human being who has been hit with wave after wave.

One practical thing that might help: consider reaching out to a local church, even if you’ve never been there before. Many churches have compassion funds or know of community resources that can help with funeral expenses or emergency bills. They can also be a place where you can simply be honest about your struggle, without having to fake strength. You mentioned you have no friends or family nearby; a caring congregation could become a small support network for you in this lonely season. For the job search, while you keep applying, it might also be worth asking if any church members know of openings, sometimes a personal connection opens a door.

We also want to say that your worth is not defined by your employment status or your ability to pay every bill immediately. The pressure feels crushing, but you are a beloved daughter of God even when you have nothing left to give.

We pray for you now: Lord, hold this precious woman close. You see the pain she carries, the unanswered questions about her mother’s passing, and the fear of what’s ahead. Please provide for her in concrete ways, open a door to the right job, give her favor with employers, and bring help with the remaining funeral costs. Grant her moments of quiet where she can grieve and begin to heal. Surround her with even one or two people who will listen without judgment. Restore her hope and let her feel Your nearness when she feels most alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Father we weep with those who weep, Rom 12:15, and ask for endurance, protection from the insidious perniciousness of the ancient serpent, John 8:44, seeking to worm his way into our ears, and than You for the promise we hear only The Lord Our Shepherd Jesus Christ's voice, John 10:3-4. We ask we love You and line up in accord with Your purpose to which we are called, Rom 8:28. Thank You in Jesus' Name.

"Let us make the most of trials, knowing it's end result is multi-facted, sanctification being a chief one, even Jesus being the author, ἀρχηγὸν, ultimate architect, chief, pioneer and head-engineer of our salvation, was perfected through suffering, Heb 2:10, on earth and in flesh, (Earth being the proving ground of obedience since heaven is perfect and there is no way to show faith and love in the midst of suffering there -- earth is where we learn obedience and express love in hard times and for that we are rewarded, even as Jesus was, Phil 2:5-18), becoming the ultimate fountain of salvation, Heb 5:8-9. Surely, there is One found Worthy, Rev 5:9.

Though beyond human capacity to bear at times tribulation transfers every drop of hope to You alone who raise the dead, 2 Cor 1:8-9, produces patience leading to maturity that we may also be complete, James 1:2-3, and though not pleasant at present, afterward yields not only perseverance, proven character but an abiding hope that does not disappoint, even granting assurance through The Holy Spirit of Adoption, Rom 5:3-5. May trials yield a harvest of peaceful fruit and righteousness, Heb 12:11, even an everlasting quietness and confidence, Isa 32:17, an everlasting crown of life, James 1:12, and ability to reign with You, as You overcame and reign in truth, humility and justice, Ps 45:4, Rev 3:19-21, Rev 21:7. We ask for grace to renew our minds, Rom 12:2, to rejoice in all these things knowing we are presently blessed and understanding their end is eternal reward, Matt 5:10-12, and that Your Intention is to work it all together for good, Rom 8:28, because You are indeed Gracious and Compassionate, Ex 34:4-5, as we see You were with Job, James 1:12. Let us pray for others and others pray for us knowing You have brought us through trials before, You will do so again, and that prayers are powerful and effective, 2 Cor 1:10-11, especially when we confess our struggles and sins to one another and pray for each other, Your promise is the prayers are powerful and effective, James 5:15-16, even as Elijah's, James 5:17-18... Continued below while abiding in Jesus Christ and His Words, John 15:1-8, and His Life Giving Words of The Holy Spirit, John 6:63, His Name being the only Name given under heaven by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, He being the One God and Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in The Power of Attorney given by us His Position and Command, Mt 18:18, we ask in Jesus' Name, John 14:13-14."

There is a mercy in your being brought very low, for it is there that the Lord often draws nearest. Your trials are like the ashes in which Job sat, and yet even there he did not charge God foolishly. To lose your mother in such a sudden and grievous way, to be cast out of your employment, and to face the mountain of debt, these are heavy blows. Yet, in all this, do not sin with your lips by despairing of God’s goodness. You are bearing a great burden, and it is true that “every man shall bear his own burden,” but not without divine strength. Let me remind you that Christ’s yoke is easy and His burden is light, not because the cross is no cross, but because He bears it with you. Cast yourself upon Him, and do not fret upon the top of your load, but bear it in His power.

You speak of estrangement from your mother and the sorrow of not seeing her before the end. That is a deep wound, but do not let it fester into unbelief. Mourning is no sin, Job rent his mantle and fell down and worshipped. Yet remember, God is sovereign even in what seems senseless. Job could not see the purpose in his losses, but he trusted his Judge. Do the same. Pray for those who have helped you, and even for the living who may have wronged you, for when Job prayed for his friends, his own captivity was turned. Keep your heart from bitterness.

Go to the Lord with your emptiness. “I know that Thou wilt bring me to death, and to the house appointed for all living.” You are brought face to face with mortality, but for the believer, death is a conquered foe. While you seek work and wait for answers, hold fast to this: “Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.” Your night will not last forever; the Lord will yet turn your captivity if you endure. Go in the strength of God, and may your spirit be anointed with fresh oil.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
