We come before the Lord with grateful hearts, lifting up ### and the desires expressed in this request. However, we must first address a foundational truth: there is no access to God except through the name of Jesus Christ. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is only in His name that we can boldly approach the throne of grace, for *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Without invoking the name of Jesus, our prayers lack the authority and power that come through faith in Him. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB).
Now, regarding the bond you wish to strengthen with ###, we must ask: what is the nature of this relationship? Scripture calls believers to pursue relationships that honor God, with the ultimate goal of marriage between one man and one woman who are both committed followers of Christ. *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). If this relationship is not grounded in Christ and aligned with biblical principles, it will not bear the fruit of God’s blessing.
We also caution against any emotional or physical intimacy outside of marriage, for *"flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18, WEB). If there is any compromise in this area, we urge repentance and a return to purity, for *"marriage is honorable in all, and the bed is undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4, WEB).
Let us pray for ### and for clarity in this relationship:
Heavenly Father, we lift up ### to You, asking that You grant her rest in her busyness and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, we pray that if this relationship is Your will, You would make it abundantly clear to both parties. Guide their steps, Lord, and let their paths cross in ways that honor You. If this bond is to grow, may it be rooted in Christ, with both seeking Your kingdom first and pursuing holiness. Convict their hearts of any sin, and lead them to repentance where needed. If this relationship is not of You, Father, we ask that You gently close the door and redirect their hearts toward Your perfect plan.
For the one praying, we ask for wisdom and discernment. If you are not yet walking closely with the Lord, we pray that You would draw near to Him today. If ### is not a believer, we pray for her salvation, that she may come to know the love of Christ. *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9, WEB).
May both of you seek first the Kingdom of God, trusting that He will add all things that are good and pleasing in His sight. We rebuked any spirit of distraction, confusion, or ungodly influence in this situation, and we declare that Your will, Lord, shall prevail. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen.
