Disciple of Prayer
Heavenly Father, I enter Your gates with thanksgiving today, and I walk into Your courts with praise. My heart is deeply grateful for the abundance of blessings You have poured into my life—for the eternal inheritance I have in You, and for the earthly inheritance passed down to me by my mother. Thank You for my family, for the gift of my wife, and my two sons. I come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your hand of justice and protection over this will contest. Lord, I ask that my mother’s true, honest decisions be fiercely protected. Shield my family from the stress of this battle, and let the truth clearly show that the claims brought against me are completely frivolous and wrong. You are the God of truth. Where there is deception, let Your light shine. We ask that every lie be fully revealed and exposed before the court. Thank You for this day, my Lord. Guide my steps to walk righteously in Your ways, and give me the strength to honor the things that You honor. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We join you in gratitude for the abundant blessings the Lord has poured into your life, your eternal inheritance in Christ, the earthly provision passed down to you, and the precious gift of your family. Your wife and sons are indeed treasures from the Lord, and we lift them up before Him, asking for His continued favor and protection over them. The battle you face regarding this will contest is not merely a legal matter but a spiritual one, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, trusting in the God of truth and justice.

Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we have access to You. We declare that You are the Righteous Judge, the One who sees all and knows all. We ask that You would intervene in this situation, Lord. Let Your hand of justice prevail, and let the truth of Your Word shine brightly in this matter. "The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed" (Psalm 103:6). We pray that every lie, deception, and false claim brought against our brother would be exposed and dismantled. Let the light of Your truth scatter the darkness, for You have said, "Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known" (Luke 12:2).

We rebuke the spirit of contention and strife that seeks to divide and destroy families. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we ask that You would shield this family from the stress and anxiety that this battle seeks to bring. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them to walk in righteousness, to honor You in all they do, and to trust in Your sovereign plan, even when the path is difficult.

We also lift up the court and all those involved in this matter. Father, we pray that You would grant wisdom and discernment to those who will make decisions in this case. Let them see clearly and judge fairly, according to Your will. "When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers" (Proverbs 21:15). We ask that You would turn the hearts of those who seek to harm this family, that they may repent and turn from their ways.

Lord, we thank You for the assurance that You are with us in every battle. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no scheme of the enemy will prevail against them. We trust in Your promise that "the Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace" (Exodus 14:14).

Heavenly Father, we also pray for our brother’s walk with You. Strengthen him to stand firm in his faith, to walk in integrity, and to honor the legacy his mother left behind. May he continue to seek Your face, to delight in Your Word, and to lead his family in a way that brings glory to Your name. "Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night" (Psalm 1:1-2).

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the One who has overcome the world. Amen.

Brother, we’re grateful you’ve shared this with us. Your prayer opens with thanksgiving, and that’s no small thing in the middle of a contest that could drain anyone dry. Gratitude anchors the soul when circumstances feel like quicksand, and we can hear yours firmly set in the goodness you already have in Christ, in your wife, in those two sons.

The strain of litigation hits in waves. One day you feel steady; the next day a letter arrives and the adrenaline spikes all over again. Those swings are real, but they don’t mean your foundation has moved. You named protection from stress as a specific need for your family. A practical step worth guarding right now: carve out a regular pocket of time each week where the conversation has nothing to do with court dates or filings, just what’s actually happening in your sons’ lives, what your wife is thinking about, what made you laugh recently. Legal battles have a way of swallowing every dinner conversation if they’re not deliberately fenced out.

We stand with you in asking God to let the truth be unmistakably clear, and we trust He honors that. But while the process unfolds, you can decide together as a family that this contest does not get to occupy the center seat in your home. That seat already belongs to Christ, and the life you’re building together rests there, verdict or no verdict.

Lord, we lift this brother and his household to You now. Thank You for the inheritance that cannot be contested, the hope that is kept in heaven for him. Guard his wife and sons from the weariness that long disputes bring. Give the court clarity to see what is frivolous and what is true. Grant this man the steady confidence that You defend the upright, and let him sleep at night knowing the outcome rests in hands far stronger than any legal argument. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You do well to cast this burden upon the Lord, for He is the judge of all the earth and He will do right. Yet I must say to you, watch your spirit in this contest, for the flesh is subtle and it may be that you desire to see your adversaries shamed more than you desire the glory of God in the matter. The surest path to have your request granted is when your will is swallowed up in God's will. Learn to pray with holy boldness, yet with the same breath-"Not as I will, but as Thou wilt." This is the way of the Master, who charged us to ask whatsoever we will, yet always with that second petition ready on our lips. If you would have the shield of protection you seek, trust wholly in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding of what an earthly court should decide. The truth will out, for God is light, but perhaps He will first sift your own heart to see if there is any dross of pride or love of money clinging to it. It is better to lose a thousand earthly inheritances than to gain the whole world and suffer loss of soul by harboring a bitter, unyielding demand for your rights.

Fix your eyes upon the Truth as it is in Jesus. He was slandered, yet He opened not His mouth; He was falsely accused, yet He committed Himself to Him who judges righteously. The inheritance of the saints is not of this world-it is incorruptible, undefiled, and cannot be contested in any court of man. If your portion in Christ is sure, you can well afford to let this storm pass, knowing that the Judge of all will one day reveal the counsels of every heart. Go forward, then, walking righteously, keeping your garments clean from any compromise with evil in the pursuit of a just outcome. If you must speak, speak the truth in love; if you must act, act with equity, and leave the vindication to God. He can restore the years the locust has eaten, and He can turn the hearts of your accusers, or failing that, He will be your shield and exceeding great reward. Buy the truth and sell it not, even at the price of this contested inheritance, for you need the truth of God in your own bosom more than any estate on earth. Let Christ be magnified, whether by your gain or by your loss, and then your name shall be written in the record of those who overcame by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.

You call upon the God of truth to protect ###'s honest decisions and to expose deceit in court. Yet ask yourself: is this a contest fit for a citizen of heaven? What is an earthly inheritance but clay thrown out in the yard? Gold and houses, fields and silver, these are the trifles of the poor rich man, who is poorer than all when he clings to such things as if they were his true portion. You have an inheritance “in light,” an eternal share with the saints, a gift no adversary can snatch away. Why then do you stir up strife and summon courts of justice over a little clay? If a poor man took a lump of dirt from your land, would you drag him before a judge? You would be ashamed, lest all men condemn you as shabby and mean. How much more when the citizens of heaven behold you fighting for a fleeting inheritance? They will cast you out from their country if you choose to squabble over what is cast out of the heavenly house.

Christ stood silent before corrupt judges; He refused to answer deceitful questioning; He accepted even a blow rather than demand His rights. And you, for a handful of earthly goods, would have truth wrung out by magistrates, lies exposed, ### shielded from stress, but all this is smoke. The court of this world is filled with tumult and passion; it is no place for a soul that walks in the light. The Jews, scrupulous about treading on a pavement, did not hesitate to shed innocent blood. You, too, must beware: the pursuit of justice in small things can breed injustice in your heart. When you bargain fiercely over a price, when you strive to pay less than what is owed, that too is robbery. So examine yourself: is your claim truly free from all greed and overreaching? Even if you speak truth about the frivolous claims against you, take heed; the Pharisee spoke truth and was condemned, for by your words you shall be judged.

Let go of this battle. Trust not in the judge’s seat but in the God whose right hand is full of righteousness. If you have been wronged, bear it; if you have right on your side, do not make it a cause of strife. The inheritance that matters is the one He freely gave, making you a partaker of the saints in light. What honor is there in clutching at an earthly portion that moth and rust destroy? Turn your prayer from pleas for victory in court to a plea for a spirit freed from the love of these things. Walk righteously by refusing to fight for what is not truly yours; then you honor what God honors. Leave the exposing of lies to Him who knows the secrets of all hearts. Do not darken your days with litigation, but give thanks for the abundance already poured out, and fix your eyes on that kingdom where no will is contested and no inheritance fades.

It is no small thing when the truth of a loved one’s final wishes is challenged. In these days, the courts can seem a shaky place to hang your hope, and it is right to turn your eyes toward the Judge who cannot be corrupted. He sees every hidden thing and takes no bribe. What is false cannot stand forever before His light. He has promised that a lie may sprint for a season, but in time the truth outruns it. You can leave the exposure of deception in His hands, He needs no help from your anxiety to accomplish it.

Be careful not to let this contest consume you. When a legitimate desire for justice twists into a fixation, it can become a substitute for trust in God. It would be a strange victory to win an earthly inheritance but lose your peace in the process. The inheritance that matters most is not a piece of property or a sum of money, but the Lord Himself. He is your portion. That cannot be stolen, divided, or diminished by any will or any judge.

This battle will demand endurance, not frantic maneuvering. Let your household be a place of refuge, not a war room where the stress leaks onto your wife and sons. The Spirit is able to give you calm words in the tense moment, and a steady mind when you must speak. You do not have to fret about what you will say or how the case will unfold, because your Father is carrying you even now, just as He has carried you from the day you were born.

When someone brings a frivolous claim, they are planting a crop they may not want to harvest. The Holy One of Israel does not sleep, and He has a way of causing the schemes of men to dismantle themselves. You do not need false assurances that everything will go as you want in the courtroom; you need the solid ground that your life is hidden with Christ. He is not obligated to give you every earthly outcome you desire, but He will never fail to work for the good of those who love Him. That includes protecting you from what would ultimately undo you, and refining you through what cannot.

So walk righteously, and honor Him in how you handle this. Do not let the inheritance your mother passed down become a wedge between you and your own children, or between you and the Lord. Hold it with an open hand. The earth and its courts will soon enough be shaken, and only what is built on truth will remain. You have a King who will set all things right in His time. Until then, let your quiet confidence rest in the fact that He knows the end from the beginning, and no deceiver will slip past His final ruling.
