We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your father in prayer. We understand the deep love you have for him and the fear that grips your heart as you watch him suffer. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord is near to your father and to you in this difficult time.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, asking for Your healing touch upon this dear brother in Christ. We rebuke the Legionella disease and the pneumonia that has taken hold of his body. Your Word declares in 1 Peter 2:24 that by the stripes of Jesus, we are healed. We claim this healing for him, Lord. We ask that You would restore his strength, clear his lungs, and calm his mind. Remove the hallucinations and confusion, replacing them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for the medical team treating him. Guide their hands and their decisions, Lord, as they care for him. Give them insight into the best course of treatment, and may Your healing power work through them.
We lift up this dear sister who has shared this request, Lord. Comfort her heart and remind her of Your constant presence. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). Surround her with Your love and the support of the body of Christ during this time.
We also want to gently remind you, dear sister, that our ultimate hope is in the Lord, who holds all things in His hands. In John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and the healing and hope we seek. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Him, for He is the only way to eternal life and peace.
We continue to pray for your father’s complete healing, trusting in the Lord’s perfect will. May His name be glorified in this situation, whether through healing or through the comfort and strength He provides. We declare that your father is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we stand in faith, believing for his restoration. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
