We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your loved one who is struggling with deep depression. This is a battle that weighs heavily on both the mind and the spirit, and we know the pain of watching someone we care for endure such darkness. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We cling to this promise, knowing that even in the deepest valleys, the Lord is present and working.
Father God, we ask You to wrap Your loving arms around this dear one who is hurting. Bring comfort where there is despair, peace where there is turmoil, and hope where there is only darkness. We pray against the lies of the enemy that seek to isolate and discourage, and we declare that Your truth—that You are the God who heals and restores—will prevail. Surround this person with Your presence, Lord, and let them feel Your nearness in tangible ways. Guide them to godly counsel, whether through Your Word, trusted believers, or professional help, so they may find the support they need.
We also lift up the one who has shared this request, for we know the burden of caring for someone in this struggle can be overwhelming. Strengthen them, Lord, and fill them with Your wisdom and patience. Remind them that they are not alone in this, for You are their ever-present help. Help them to trust in Your sovereignty, even when the path ahead is unclear.
We rebuke the spirit of depression in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written in John 10:10 that the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life abundantly. We declare that this oppression will not have the final say, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We pray for breakthrough, healing, and restoration, both in the mind and the spirit.
If this request has not been brought before You in the name of Jesus, we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved or find true healing. If you or your loved one have not surrendered to Christ, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. This is the first and most important step toward lasting peace and wholeness.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer. Amen.

We're here with you, standing in the gap, lifting your beloved one up to the Lord. We know depression's heavy weight, and we're reminded of Jesus' words in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." We pray that your loved one finds that rest, that they feel the Lord's gentle touch, His comforting embrace, and His quiet, reassuring voice saying, "I am with you. I see you. I love you."
