Prayers for my son ###

Anonymous

Beloved of All
My son ### is having a lot of problems at his work place with the Chair at ###. Please pray for him.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son and the challenges he is facing at his workplace. The Bible tells us in Psalm 55:22, "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." We stand on this promise today, trusting that God sees his struggles and will uphold him in this difficult season.

Father, we ask that You grant your son wisdom and discernment as he navigates these workplace conflicts. May he respond with grace, humility, and integrity, reflecting the character of Christ even in the face of adversity. We pray for protection over his heart and mind, that he would not grow weary or discouraged but would find strength in You. Lord, we also ask that You soften the heart of his supervisor, that there would be understanding, reconciliation, and peace in their interactions.

We rebuke any spirit of strife, division, or injustice in this situation, declaring that God’s peace and order will prevail. Help your son to trust in Your timing and purposes, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). If there are any ungodly influences or unrighteousness at play, we ask that You expose them and bring them to light, that Your justice and righteousness would reign.

We also encourage your son to seek You earnestly in this time, laying his burdens at Your feet. Remind him that his identity and worth are found in Christ alone, not in the opinions or actions of others. May he find refuge in Your presence and strength in Your Word.

Lord, we pray for unity and harmony in his workplace. Let Your love and truth be the foundation of all interactions, and may Your name be glorified through the way he handles this trial. We declare that this situation will not break him but will instead refine his faith and draw him closer to You.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We’re joining you in prayer for your son. Work conflict, especially with someone in authority, can weigh heavily. When it drags on, it’s easy to feel trapped, like every option carries risk and no good path is clear.

One quiet truth we’ve come to appreciate is that, as much as we long to fix things for those we love, the most helpful thing we can offer is a peaceful, listening presence. If you jump in to solve, you might unknowingly add pressure or get “triangled” between your son and the chair, a place that rarely helps. Instead, you can be the steady place where he can untangle his thoughts without judgment. A few gentle, open questions can go a long way: What do you value most right now, your sanity, your future, your education? What options do you actually have, even if they aren’t perfect? Sometimes just putting the pros and cons on paper brings enough clarity to take one small step forward.

Father, we bring this son before You. You see the strain he’s under and the uncertainty gnawing at him. Quiet his mind and steady his heart. Grant him the wisdom to act with integrity, not out of fear, and give his parent the grace to support without rescuing. Open a door toward a resolution that preserves his dignity and peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The arrows of affliction fly thick and fast, and it is often the case that the workplace becomes a field of trial where the saints are tested. Your son’s trouble with this chair is no random accident, but a weight permitted by the Lord’s hand. Yet take heed, for in all this he must charge God with no foolish thing. Who is he that can contend with his Maker over a matter of holiness? We are wrong, God must be right. The Lord has His own wise ends, and though the instrument may be an unkind superior, the purpose is divine refinement.

I would have your son see in this the trial of Job, who was slandered by his friends and scorned by those who once respected him. Yet the testimony stands: in all this Job sinned not with his lips. Point him to the patience of that man of Uz, who fell to the ground and worshipped when everything was stripped away. The bow of his strength was renewed, but only after it was bent to the breaking point. If God upheld Job, He can support your son. Look to Him for this divine support, and let no murmuring or unbelieving speech escape him, for these would darken counsel by words without knowledge.

You, as a mother, have a sacred office now, to pray for your friends, your own flesh and blood. Job’s captivity was not turned until he prayed for those who had sorely vexed him. It is in the furnace of intercession that our own deliverance is often forged. I will join my prayers with yours, that the Lord would make a way in this wilderness. Let your son likewise seek grace to bless when he is cursed, to endure when he is unjustly pressed, knowing that the Lord brings down to the grave and brings up again. The house appointed for all living awaits each of us, and this present light affliction is but for a moment. Trust the Lord’s appointment, and you shall yet see that He does all things well.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

How many are the snares that beset us even in the ordinary business of life, and how needful it is that we learn to stand nobly when we are unwillingly drawn into conflict, rather than to rush upon unnecessary struggles! For your son’s trouble with this Chair, let us first examine whether the root of the matter be not some hidden covetousness, envy, or vainglory on one side or the other, for every earthly conflict springs from these. If we can cut out the root, there will be no fruit. Let him therefore despise the things of this life: if his money is threatened, his honor slighted, his reputation assailed, it is not his true treasure which is touched. He who plots against his neighbor first destroyeth himself.

Yet we are not to be careless. The Apostle bids every soul be subject to the higher powers, and this for our own peace. If the Chair has authority, let your son submit as to God’s appointment, not with a servile fear but in the freedom of one who walks not after the flesh. Often God permits such trials to grow sharp just when He is about to bring deliverance, enhancing the struggle that the victory may be more glorious. Remember blessed Job: he had exercised himself in patience before his conflicts, and so when ruin, loss, and reproaches fell upon him, he uttered no rash word. So let your son now exercise his soul in quietness, waiting upon the time of conflict rather than seeking it, that he may show both freedom from vainglory and true nobleness of spirit.

We shall pray for him without ceasing, that he may be kept from all listlessness of soul, and that this present difficulty may become an occasion for greater grace. Be of good courage; the conflict is near its end when it presses hardest.
