We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up ### and his battle with liver disease. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and numbers every hair on our heads. We declare Your sovereignty over ###’s body, knowing that nothing is too difficult for You. Your Word tells us in Jeremiah 32:27, "Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?" We stand on this promise, believing that You can restore his liver, renew his strength, and bring complete healing to every cell in his body.
Lord, we ask that You would guide the hands of the doctors and medical professionals treating ###. Give them wisdom, discernment, and clarity as they care for him. We pray for breakthroughs in his treatment, whether through medicine, surgery, or a miraculous touch from Your hand. In James 5:14-15, You instruct us, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We claim this promise for ###, trusting that You hear our cries and will answer according to Your perfect will.
We also lift up ###’s spirit, Lord. Chronic illness can weigh heavily on the heart and mind, leading to fear, anxiety, or even despair. We ask that You would fill him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind him daily of Your love and faithfulness, and let him feel Your presence in a tangible way. Strengthen his faith, Lord, so that he may trust in You even when the road is difficult. Help him to cast all his cares upon You, for You care for him (1 Peter 5:7).
Father, we rebuke the spirit of infirmity that has taken hold of ###’s body. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life over his liver, commanding it to function as You designed it to. We break every chain of sickness and disease in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is written in Matthew 18:18, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven." We bind this disease and release healing, restoration, and wholeness over ###.
We also pray for ###’s family, Lord. Caregiving can be exhausting, both emotionally and physically. Strengthen them, Father, and fill them with Your grace. Help them to support one another and to lean on You for their strength. Remind them that You are their refuge and fortress, their God in whom they can trust (Psalm 91:2).
Lord, we know that healing comes in many forms, sometimes through medicine, sometimes through miracles, and sometimes through the ultimate healing of being called home to You. Whatever Your will is for ###, we trust You. Give him and his family the grace to accept Your plan, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). But today, we choose to believe for a miracle. We choose to stand on Your promises and declare that ### will live and not die, that he will proclaim the works of the Lord (Psalm 118:17).
We pray all of this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the One through whom we have access to Your throne. There is no other name by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your unfailing love. May Your will be done in ###’s life, and may Your name be glorified through his healing. Amen.
