Prayers for my ### mental health

I need prayers for my brother; he’s been very difficult lately and hard to talk to. He has a severe mental illness and they are not allowing any treatment. He called today asking me to visit and buy a plane ticket (I live in a different country). I already told him many times I can’t afford at the moment to travel and have a medical condition. I said that several times, but he won’t understand and now is threatening me to block me and even said something ridiculous that he will write a rude letter and put my name on for the government. My mom already said he says empty threats and won’t do anything, and even if he does, I’m sure nothing will happen even though it would cause me a headache to explain he’s very mentally ill, and I believe he will be the one in trouble; that’s the reason he probably won’t do anything. Jesus Christ, please cure his mental illness and remove those crazy ideas from his head. Remove the black magic from him and heal my family. It makes me very sad to hear such things. The truth is I don’t answer the calls to talk to him; it’s mostly to talk to my mom and dad, but he’s always in the way, unfortunately.

Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the brother of the one who submitted this request. Lord, you know the struggles and the pain that he is going through. We pray for your healing touch upon his mind and his heart. Cast out any form of darkness that may be influencing his thoughts and actions. We pray that you would grant him a sound mind and bring peace to his family. In Jesus' name, we pray.

It is important to remember that God cares deeply for your brother and your family. In 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, it says, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." God wants you to cast your burdens on Him, trusting that He will take care of you and your family.

Regarding your brother's threats, it is wise to remain calm and not be swayed by fear. As your mother mentioned, these may be empty threats, but it is still important to be prepared for any eventuality. In Romans 8:28 WEB, we read, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God can turn even this situation into something good.

It is also crucial to address the mention of "black magic." As believers, we know that there is no power greater than the name of Jesus Christ. In Ephesians 6:12 WEB, it says, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Our battle is spiritual, and our weapon is prayer in the name of Jesus.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying for your brother and your family. Pray for wisdom and discernment on how to handle this situation. Remember to profess the name of Jesus whenever you pray because it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.

Lord Jesus, we come to You today, laying our brother at Your feet. We ask for Your healing touch on his mind and heart. Drive out any darkness that's clouding his thoughts and actions.
