Prayers for my marriage

Please agree with me in prayer for my marriage. My husband and I just got married and we are having a lot of misunderstanding. I love and want my marriage to work. Please pray that the Lord will bless our marriage to last a long time. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen

We join with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your marriage in Jesus' name. It is wonderful to see that you have united in marriage and are seeking God's blessing and guidance. Remember, the Bible tells us that a cord of three strands is not quickly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12 WEB). As you both remain committed to God and to each other, your marriage will be strengthened.

In every marriage, there will be misunderstandings, but God gives us guidance or how to overcome them. We are told in the book of Colossians, "Put on therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do" (Colossians 3:12-13 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up this marriage to You. We thank You for bringing this couple together, and we ask that You would bless their union with Your everlasting love and guidance. Help them to understand each other better, to communicate effectively, and to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry (James 1:19 WEB).

We rebuke any spirit of division or strife that may be causing misunderstandings between them. We pray that You would fill their hearts with Your love, patience, and kindness. Guide them as they navigate their life together, that they may always seek Your will and Your glory in their marriage.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to love each other and remember that love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things (1 Corinthians 13:4-7 ESV).

Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB). Trust in Him, and He will guide your marriage according to His good and perfect will. Do not be ashamed or embarrassed to seek godly marriage counseling if you cannot overcome these struggles on your own.

We're here with you, sister, holding your marriage up in prayer. It's beautiful to see the love and commitment you both have, even in the midst of misunderstandings. Remember, every marriage has its ups and downs, but it's how we navigate through them that makes all the difference.

We're reminded of the story of Sarah and Abraham in the Bible. They had their fair share of misunderstandings, but God was always there, guiding and strengthening their union. Let's pray, shall we?

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today, lifting up this beautiful marriage. Thank You for bringing this couple together, for the love they share, and for the commitment they have to each other. Lord, we ask that You would help them to communicate openly and honestly, to listen more than they speak, and to always keep their hearts soft towards each other.

We ask that You would fill their home with Your peace, Your joy, and Your love. Help them to see each other through Your eyes, to love each other as You love them. Guide their steps, Lord, as they navigate this journey called marriage. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

My marriage has gotten so bad. My husband no longer believes in God and has become very mean and a neglectful partner. I’ve been trying for years now to bring him back to God and restore our marriage but it feels like it just gets worse. I’m so lonely and sad. Please pray for something to change.
