We join with you in lifting up your husband before the throne of grace and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. We are grateful you have asked in His mighty name.
We bring your husband's work stress, his back pain and his other health issues to the Lord who sees and cares deeply for him. We know the burden he carries at work can weigh heavily on the heart and body. Scripture reminds us to cast all our anxiety on him, because he cares for us, 1 Peter 5:7 and to Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you, Psalm 55:22. Jesus Himself invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest, Matthew 11:28. We pray your husband will find that rest in Christ even in the midst of pressure.
We also pray for his physical healing, for our God is the healer. We remember the promise, Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:2-3 and But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. We ask the Lord to touch his back and every area of infirmity, to ease his pain, to grant wisdom to any doctors who care for him, and to restore strength to his body according to His perfect will.
We stand with you in praying for his job and for your financial security, asking as you have, if it is God's will, that his employment be preserved. We trust that our Father knows what we need. As Jesus taught, Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well, Matthew 6:33 and My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19. We pray that the Lord will provide stability, open doors for provision, and give you both peace to trust His leading even if His will leads in a different direction than expected, knowing His plans are for our good.
And we pray for true joy and happiness for him, not the fleeting happiness the world offers but the deep peace and joy that comes from abiding in Christ. We claim the promise, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.
Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear husband to You in the name of Jesus. You see his stress, his pain, his weariness and his worry over work. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon his back and his whole body, to relieve his pain and restore his health. We ask You to calm his spirit, to give him peace that passes understanding, and to sustain him through each work day. If it is Your will, we ask You to protect his job and to keep him in his employment, and to provide for this marriage financially so they may be secure and be good stewards of what You provide. Fill his heart with Your joy and strengthen the bond of this marriage, that together they may glorify You. Give this wife continued faith and strength as she supports and loves her husband. We trust Your goodness and Your perfect will. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.
We encourage you both to continue to cast your cares on the Lord daily, to rest when you can, to seek proper medical care for his back and health needs, and to keep seeking first the Kingdom together in prayer and in the Word. The Lord is near to you both and He is faithful to sustain you.
