We join with you in lifting up your granddaughter and daughter before the throne of grace, crying out to the Lord for their complete deliverance, healing, and restoration. Your heart for them is evident, and we stand with you in faith, knowing that our God is mighty to save and that nothing is impossible for Him.

The struggles they face—anorexia, body dysmorphia, self-harm, insomnia, and the deep spiritual bondage tied to these issues—are not just physical or mental battles but spiritual ones. The enemy seeks to distort God’s design, to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to set the captives free. As you’ve rightly declared, "Whom the Son sets free is free indeed" (John 8:36). We must also remember that freedom comes through repentance and surrender to Christ. The idols of control, perfectionism, and self-reliance must be torn down so that Jesus can reign in their hearts. The Lord is calling them to turn away from these strongholds and to embrace His truth: that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and their worth is found in Him alone.

For your granddaughter, we pray for a supernatural breakthrough in her battle with anorexia. This is not just a struggle with food but a deep spiritual battle for her identity in Christ. The enemy has lied to her, convincing her that her worth is tied to her appearance or her ability to control her body. But God’s Word declares, "Don’t you know that you are God’s temple, and that God’s Spirit lives in you?" (1 Corinthians 3:16). We rebuke the spirit of anorexia and declare that her body belongs to God, created to glorify Him. We pray that she would encounter the love of Jesus in a way that shatters the lies she has believed. May she find her satisfaction in Him, the Bread of Life (John 6:35), and no longer seek to starve herself in pursuit of a false ideal.

For your daughter, we pray for deliverance from body dysmorphic disorder and the obsession with altering her body. This too is a form of idolatry, where the focus is on self rather than on Christ. The apostle Paul warns, "Don’t you know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be!" (1 Corinthians 6:15). While her struggle may not be with prostitution, the principle remains: her body is not her own to manipulate or destroy. It belongs to God. We pray that she would see herself through His eyes—beautiful, valued, and redeemed. May the Lord break the chains of OCD and the compulsive behaviors that have enslaved her. We also pray for healing for her body, particularly her organs, as she has entered menopause far too early. The Lord is Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals (Exodus 15:26), and we trust Him to restore her physically as she surrenders to Him spiritually.

Both of them are trapped in cycles of trauma and demonic oppression, and we must not underestimate the spiritual dimension of their struggles. The insomnia, over-exercising, and other compulsive behaviors are symptoms of a deeper spiritual battle. We take authority in the name of Jesus over every demonic stronghold in their lives. "Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). We pray that they would submit to God, casting down every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). May they be filled with the Holy Spirit, who brings peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), so that they can rest in His presence.

We also notice that while you’ve invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, it’s critical to ensure that your granddaughter and daughter personally know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and true freedom comes only through a personal relationship with Him. If they have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them. May they repent of their sins, turn to Jesus, and receive His forgiveness and freedom. "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Without this foundation, any deliverance will be temporary, for only in Christ can we walk in lasting victory.

Finally, we encourage you to continue standing in the gap for them, but also to speak the truth in love to them. Sometimes, our prayers must be accompanied by bold, loving confrontation. Share with them the Gospel and the truth of God’s Word. Remind them that their struggles are not just personal battles but spiritual wars, and the only way to win is through Jesus. Encourage them to read Scripture daily, to fill their minds with God’s truth instead of the lies of the enemy. "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart" (Hebrews 4:12).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious granddaughter and daughter. Lord, You see their pain, their bondage, and their desperation. You know the depth of their struggles, and You alone hold the keys to their freedom. We ask that You would encounter them in a mighty way, Lord—so powerfully that they cannot deny Your presence. Break the chains of anorexia, body dysmorphic disorder, OCD, insomnia, and every form of idolatry that has taken root in their hearts. Let them see the futility of their struggles and turn to You, the only One who can satisfy their souls.

Father, we rebuke the spirits of anorexia, self-hatred, perfectionism, and fear that have tormented them. We command these spirits to leave in the name of Jesus. Fill them instead with Your Holy Spirit, who brings peace, joy, and self-control. Heal their bodies, Lord—restore their organs, regulate their hormones, and bring balance to their systems. Let them experience Your healing power in every cell of their being.

We pray for their minds to be renewed by Your Word. Let them meditate on Your truth day and night, so that the lies of the enemy are exposed and cast out. Give them a hunger for Your presence, Lord, that surpasses any hunger for control or perfection. Let them find their identity in You alone.

Most of all, Father, we pray for their salvation if they do not yet know You. Draw them to Yourself, Lord. Let them repent of their sins and surrender their lives to Jesus. May they experience the freedom that comes only through His blood, shed for them on the cross. Let them know that they are loved, valued, and redeemed by You.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your power to save, heal, and deliver. May Your will be done in their lives, and may You receive all the glory. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Dear sisters in Christ,

We're here with you, lifting your granddaughter and daughter before the throne of grace. We're crying out to the Lord for their complete healing, restoration, and freedom. Your love for them is evident, and we stand with you in faith, believing that our God is mighty to save and nothing is impossible for Him.

We want to encourage you with these words from Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe that God sees their struggles and He is ready to bind up their wounds, to heal them, and to set them free.

For your granddaughter, we pray that she would encounter the love of Jesus in a way that shatters the lies she has believed about herself. We declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and her worth is found in Him alone. We ask that she would find her satisfaction in Jesus, the Bread of Life (John 6:35), and no longer seek to starve herself in pursuit of a false ideal.

For your daughter, we pray that she would see herself through God's eyes - beautiful, valued, and redeemed. We ask that the Lord would break the chains of body dysmorphic disorder and the obsession with altering her body. We also pray for healing for her body, particularly her organs, as she has entered menopause far too early.

We pray that both of them would find rest in Jesus, that they would submit to Him, and resist the devil. We declare that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We trust that God will reveal His love to them and bring them to repentance and faith.

Let's continue to stand in the gap for them, speaking the truth in love. Let's remind them that their struggles are not just personal battles, but spiritual wars, and the only way to win is through Jesus.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
