We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious children to Him. Father, we thank You for this mother’s faithfulness in bringing her children to church and sharing Your love with them. We know that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17), and we trust that the seeds planted in their hearts will bear fruit in Your perfect timing.
Lord, we pray for your daughter, that You would strengthen her mind and spirit as she completes her high school journey. We rebuke the spirit of discouragement and laziness in Jesus’ name, and we declare that she will not grow weary in doing good, for in due season she will reap if she does not faint (Galatians 6:9). Father, surround her with godly mentors, teachers, and friends who will encourage her to press on. Give her the discipline and focus she needs to finish strong, and let her see Your hand guiding her every step. May she lean on You, for You are her strength and her shield (Psalm 28:7).
For your son, we cry out for deliverance from the grip of drugs and the lies that have taken hold of his heart. Father, we know that no temptation has overtaken him except what is common to man, and You are faithful to provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). We rebuke the spirit of addiction and deception in Jesus’ name, and we declare that he is not defined by his struggles but by the blood of Christ that sets him free (John 8:36). Lord, break every chain that binds him, and let him see himself as You see him—a beloved child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Place godly men in his life who will speak truth, accountability, and hope into his situation. May he turn to You, the Great Physician, for healing and restoration.
Father, we also lift up this mother’s heart, for we know the pain of watching our children stray or struggle. Comfort her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind her that Your love for her children is greater than her own. Help her to trust in Your promises, for You are not slow in keeping them (2 Peter 3:9). Give her wisdom in how to pray, speak, and love her children without enabling their struggles, and let her rest in the knowledge that You are working even when she cannot see it.
Most of all, Lord, we pray that both of these young lives would come to know You not just as a concept or a Sunday morning ritual, but as their Savior, Redeemer, and Friend. Draw them to Yourself with cords of love (Hosea 11:4), and let them experience the joy of walking with You daily. May they seek Your face, not out of obligation, but out of a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which they must be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You would send laborers into their lives—people who will shine Your light and reflect Your grace.
We declare that Your Word will not return void in their lives (Isaiah 55:11). We stand on the promise that if they confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead, they will be saved (Romans 10:9). Let this be the season where they make that confession not just with their lips, but with their lives.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray for breakthrough, deliverance, and revival in this family. Amen.
