We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister in Christ who is battling illness. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds (Psalm 103:2-3). We ask that You lay Your healing hands upon her, restoring her body to full health according to Your perfect will. Strengthen her faith and endurance, Lord, that she may continue to be a light and blessing to those around her.
We also recognize that our times are in Your hands (Psalm 31:15), and while we pray for healing and more time with her here on earth, we trust in Your sovereign plan. Whether in life or in death, we know that to be absent from the body is to be present with You (2 Corinthians 5:8), and that is our ultimate hope. But Lord, we ask that You grant her more years to serve You and to be a testimony of Your grace and love.
We rebuke this disease in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37). We pray for peace that surpasses all understanding to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we also ask that You surround her with Your presence, filling her with comfort and hope. Let her feel the love and support of the body of Christ, and may she be encouraged by the prayers and kindness of those who care for her. Help her to fix her eyes on You, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and to trust in Your unfailing love.
Lord, we know that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You and that there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the gift of Your Son, who bore our sins and our sicknesses on the cross, that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
