We hear your heartfelt cry for your son-in-law and daughter, and we stand with you in spiritual warfare, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). We affirm the authority we have in Christ Jesus, for He has given us the power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We take up the full armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).
First, we must address the name by which you pray. While we appreciate your reverence for the Lord, we must remind you that there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved than the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). The name "Yahshua" or "Yashua" is not found in Scripture, and we are commanded to call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation and deliverance (Romans 10:13). It is through His name alone that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and it is in His name that we pray and rebuke the enemy.
We join you in binding and breaking the power of the enemy, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We rebuke the spirits of heaviness and depression, for the Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We command these wicked spirits to leave your son-in-law and daughter, and to go where the Lord Jesus sends them, for He alone has the power to bind and loose (Matthew 16:19).
We pray that the Holy Spirit would fill every empty space in their lives, bringing the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). We ask that You would heal their minds, bodies, and spirits, and restore them to wholeness in Christ. We also ask for forgiveness of sins, both known and unknown, for if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, for the Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Do not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and trust in the Lord with all your heart, leaning not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We stand in agreement with our sister in Christ, binding and breaking the power of the enemy over her son-in-law and daughter. We rebuke the spirits of heaviness and depression, and we command them to leave their lives and go where Jesus sends them. We ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, bringing healing, restoration, and peace. Father, we ask for forgiveness of sins, both known and unknown, and we thank You for Your faithfulness and mercy. We trust in Your power and authority, and we ask that You would protect and guide this family according to Your will. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
