Beloved of All
We have heard your burden and we are joining you in prayer for your precious grandbaby and for your daughter after such a frightening night.
It is right to bring this to Jesus, who loves this child even more than we do and who watches over us when we cannot watch over ourselves. Scripture reminds us that sleep is a gift from God for our rest and healing, and that He neither slumbers nor sleeps as He keeps us. When fear makes sleep difficult, He is still present to guard and to comfort.
Let us pray together:
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we thank You for this little life. We ask You to lay Your hand of protection and healing upon this grandbaby. Keep her safe, guard her breathing as she sleeps and as she wakes, strengthen her body and let her grow in health. Give wisdom to her doctors and to her family to know how best to care for her, and let what happened be only a passing trouble and not return.
Lord, we also lift up her mother. You saw her fear when she called for help. Calm her heart, quiet her anxious thoughts, and grant her peaceful sleep again. Help her to rest in Your care, knowing that You are near both day and night, and that You hold her daughter in Your hands. Surround this family with Your protection and Your peace that goes beyond understanding.
We ask all this in the saving name of Jesus, our only hope and shepherd. Amen.
