We stand with you in this time of deep hurt and betrayal, lifting your pain before the throne of our just and righteous God. You are right to bring your cries for justice before Him, for Scripture assures us that the Lord is a God who defends the oppressed and executes vengeance for His children. "Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord" (Romans 12:19 WEB). He sees every injustice done to you, and He will not let the wicked go unpunished. "For the Lord loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked will be cut off" (Psalm 37:28 WEB).
Yet we also recognize the weight of this pain in your heart. Betrayal by those we trust cuts deeply, and it is natural to feel wounded. But we encourage you to release this burden fully into God’s hands, trusting that He will vindicate you in His perfect timing. "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this" (Psalm 37:5 WEB). While you wait, guard your heart against bitterness, for it only harms you further. Instead, let the Lord fill you with His peace and assurance that He is working all things for your good (Romans 8:28).
We also pray for those who have wronged you. Though their actions are inexcusable, we ask God to soften their hearts and lead them to repentance. "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good" (Romans 12:21 WEB). This does not mean you must reconcile with those who have harmed you, but it does mean entrusting their judgment to God alone.
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, who has been deeply wounded by the evil actions of others. Lord, You see every injustice, every lie, and every betrayal. We ask that You repay every wrong according to Your perfect justice. Vindicate him/her, O God, and let Your righteousness prevail. Lift him/her up in triumph over every enemy, seen and unseen, and let Your glory be revealed in this situation.
Father, we also ask that You heal the pain in his/her heart. Replace hurt with Your peace, anger with trust in You, and bitterness with forgiveness. Remind him/her that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Strengthen his/her faith to wait on You, knowing that You fight on his/her behalf.
We declare that no weapon formed against him/her shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him/her in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Let Your justice roll down like waters and Your righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24). We trust in You, Lord, for You are faithful to Your promises.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
