Prayers for friend

Beloved of All
Would like prayers for my housemate. Today I went to his room to let him know I found some boxes we needed yelled at me in a mockery voice saying I shouldn’t disturb him again . I feel very upset as I’m trying to save money with this. Jesus Christ please heal his autism and mental issues he’s being very difficult and mean. I’m Always nice and treat him nicely. Please heal his behaviour.

We hear your distress and frustration, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your housemate before the Lord. It’s clear you’ve shown kindness and patience, and it’s painful when that effort isn’t reciprocated. We want to first affirm that your desire to handle this situation with grace is commendable, and we pray the Lord strengthens you in that resolve.

We must gently address a few things in your request. First, autism is not something to be "healed" in the way the request suggests. Autism is a part of how God has created your housemate, and it is not a sin or a flaw. The Lord calls us to love and accept others as He made them, and we should pray for understanding, patience, and wisdom in relating to him, not for the removal of a part of his identity. Scripture reminds us in Psalm 139:14, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." We must trust that God has a purpose in how He has designed each of us.

That said, we do pray for healing in the areas where your housemate is struggling, whether it’s emotional regulation, communication, or mental health challenges that may be contributing to his outbursts. We also pray for your relationship with him, that the Lord would soften his heart toward you and give you both the grace to navigate this living situation with peace. Proverbs 15:1 tells us, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." We encourage you to continue responding to him with gentleness, even when it’s difficult, and to seek wisdom in setting boundaries if his behavior becomes abusive or unmanageable.

We also want to lift up the financial stress you’re feeling. It’s understandable to be upset when something like this feels like it’s hindering your efforts to save money. We pray the Lord provides for you in ways that bring peace and security, and that He gives you creative solutions to navigate this season. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to You. Lord, we ask for Your peace to fill this home and for Your wisdom to guide both of them in their interactions. Father, we pray for ###, that You would draw near to him in his struggles. Give him the strength to manage his emotions and the clarity to communicate in ways that honor You and those around him. We ask for healing in any areas where his mental health is causing him distress, and we trust You to work in his heart.

Lord, we also pray for ###, that You would comfort her in this frustration and give her the patience and grace to respond with love, even when it’s hard. Help her to set healthy boundaries where needed and to trust You with the financial concerns she’s carrying. Provide for her needs, Father, and remind her that You are her ultimate source of security.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, who teaches us to love our neighbors as ourselves and to bear with one another in patience. May Your Holy Spirit move in this home, bringing unity, understanding, and peace. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer, not just for your housemate’s behavior to change, but for your own heart to be filled with compassion and wisdom. If this situation becomes unmanageable, don’t hesitate to seek counsel from a trusted pastor, mentor, or even a mediator who can help facilitate a conversation between you both. You are not alone in this, and the Lord sees your efforts and your heart.

We’re so sorry you’re walking through this. Living with someone who lashes out, especially when you’re already trying to save money and keep things peaceful, hurts deeply. It’s completely understandable to feel upset and even a little helpless right now. You’re not wrong for wanting things to get better, and your desire to see him healed shows real compassion.

Sometimes, when someone has autism or mental health struggles, small disruptions to their routine or personal space can trigger big reactions that aren’t actually about us at all. That doesn’t make the mocking tone okay, but it might help to consider that his outburst may have more to do with feeling overwhelmed or anxious than with anything you did wrong. None of that excuses cruelty, but it can help us guard our own hearts from resentment.

A practical next step: the next time things are calm between you, consider gently saying something like, “I want to respect your space. Is there a signal we can use if I ever need to get your attention?” You don’t have to tiptoe, but a little proactive communication might lower the tension. If the behavior ever feels threatening or escalates, please don’t hesitate to lean on a trusted friend, pastor, or even a local crisis line to talk through what you’re experiencing. You don’t have to carry this alone.

We’re praying right now that Jesus would settle your heart with His peace, give you wisdom in how to love your housemate without being a doormat, and bring steady healing to his mind and emotions in whatever way brings the most good. Wrap you both in safety and calm, Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

That outburst from your housemate has bruised your spirit, and I perceive that you are troubled. You have been kind, and yet you have received a wound. But remember, the Lord Jesus is the Tree of Life, and even His leaves are for the healing of the nations. There is no wound that His touch cannot bind up, whether it be the sharp cut of an unkind word or the deeper sorrows of a broken mind. Bring your housemate’s condition and your own wounded heart alike to the great Physician. Calvary is the place where the balm is found; He who bore our sicknesses knows how to deal with every malady of soul and body.

Do not fall into the snare of measuring your own goodness against his affliction, for we all stand in need of mercy. The smoke of sin blinds us all, and many a man thinks himself righteous when he is merely comparing himself with another’s visible faults. Yet the Lord alone can heal the root of such behaviour. Pardon and healing are one gift from His pierced hand. When Jesus healed the palsied man, He first spoke forgiveness, and then gave strength. So pray that your housemate may hear the word of Christ, for faith comes by hearing, and it is while He is teaching that the healing power is most manifest. Seek also that your own heart be kept from bitterness, for a broken spirit is not beyond His mending, He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds.

There is but one sacred Fountain, opened on Calvary, for the cleansing of all uncleanness of spirit. If you would see him changed, you must lead him, by prayer and patient example, to the feet of Jesus. Yet you cannot serve as you ought until you yourself are first touched and lifted up by the Master’s hand. Seek your own healing from this fresh vexation, that you may minister out of a quieted soul. The Lord may yet make the leaves of His grace to drop upon that poor, disordered mind, for with God nothing is impossible. Wait upon Him, hear His Word with heed, and expect a day of visitation. God grant that healing influences fall thick as leaves in autumn, till peace and soundness of mind come to your abode.
