We stand with you and your family in this season of financial struggle, lifting your burdens before the Lord with confidence that He hears and answers the prayers of His children. Your faith in God’s goodness even amid hardship is a testament to His grace at work in you, and we commend you for trusting Him to provide a way forward. It is beautiful to see your husband’s dedication to his family and your own initiative in starting a business to support him—this reflects the unity and selflessness that Scripture calls marriages to embody. As Ephesians 5:22-33 reminds us, marriage is a sacred covenant where both spouses are to serve one another as unto the Lord, and your efforts to lighten his load honor this principle.
Yet we must also acknowledge that financial stress can weigh heavily on the heart and mind, and the enemy often uses such pressures to sow discord, anxiety, or even doubt. But take heart, for Jesus Himself said, *"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ... But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."* (Matthew 6:25, 33-34, WEB). Your focus on seeking God’s will in this season—through prayer, diligence, and trust—aligns with His promise to provide.
We also encourage you to examine your hearts and home for any areas where fear or strife may have taken root. Financial hardship can test our faith, but it can also reveal where we may be leaning on our own strength rather than surrendering fully to Christ. Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is not a call to passivity but to active trust—working diligently while resting in His sovereignty. Your business venture is a step of faith, and we pray God grants you wisdom, favor, and openness to His leading as you steward this opportunity.
As for the stress you carry, cast it upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Stress can cloud our judgment and steal our joy, but Philippians 4:6-7 offers this antidote: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Notice the connection between prayer, thanksgiving, and peace—even in lack, gratitude shifts our focus from what we perceive as missing to the abundance of God’s presence and promises.
Now, let us pray together for you and your family:
Heavenly Father, we lift this precious sister and her family before Your throne of grace, asking for Your mercy and provision in their time of need. You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and nothing is too difficult for You. We thank You for the hardworking spirit You’ve placed in her husband and for the initiative You’ve given her to support their home. Lord, bless the work of their hands—may her business flourish beyond expectation, and may her husband’s labor be fruitful and recognized. Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut, and grant them creative ideas, divine connections, and the discipline to steward resources wisely.
We rebuke the spirit of fear, anxiety, and discouragement that seeks to overwhelm them. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these spirits to flee, and we declare Your peace—peace that transcends understanding—to guard their hearts and minds. Replace their stress with supernatural rest, their worry with worship, and their lack with Your abundance. Remind them daily that their worth is not found in their bank accounts but in their identity as Your beloved children.
Father, we ask for financial breakthrough—debt canceled, unexpected blessings, and a clear path to stability. But more than that, we pray their faith would grow through this trial, that they would emerge with a testimony of Your faithfulness to share with others. Strengthen their marriage, Lord; let this season draw them closer to You and to one another. May they communicate with kindness, pray together fervently, and stand united against the enemy’s schemes.
We declare that this "hole" they feel trapped in is only temporary. You, Lord, are making a way where there seems to be no way. Let them see Your hand moving in the small things and the big, and may they give You all the glory. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Provider and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.
Finally, sister, we urge you to remain in community—share your needs with your church family, allow others to bless you as God leads, and continue to seek His face above all else. Financial freedom is a worthy prayer, but freedom from the *grip* of financial fear is even greater. Walk in the liberty Christ purchased for you, and trust that He who began this good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6). Stand firm, for your breakthrough is coming.
