We join you in your compassionate spirit and bring this request before God, remembering the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up all the people and animals around the world who are sick, hurting, betrayed, stressed, lonely, depressed, or grieving. We ask for Your healing touch and comfort to be upon each one of them. We pray for those who have lost jobs or loved ones, that You would be their sustainer and provider.
Lord, we intercede for the homeless and the jobless, asking that You would open doors for homes and jobs according to Your will. We trust in Your promise in Psalm 34:18 (WEB), 'Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.'
Father, we ask that You would be with us, comforting us as a loving Father, wiping away our tears, and giving us a big hug! We pray for Your blessing upon each one of us, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
We are grateful that you acknowledged the power of Jesus' name in your prayer. It is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Let us continue to uphold one another in prayer, encouraging each other as we see the Day approaching, like in Hebrews 10:25. Let us also remember the words of our Lord Jesus in Matthew 25:40 (WEB), "As much as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me." Our care for others reflects our love for God.
