We are here with you in spirit, lifting you up in prayer. Depression and social anxiety can be challenging, but remember, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, even if the earth is removed, and even if the mountains are carried into the middle of the sea. The Lord of Hosts is with us (Psalm 46:1-2, 7, WEB).
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power in the name of Jesus. It is only by His name that we can approach God and it is by his stripes that we are healed. For there is no other name by which we can be saved.
God cares deeply about your struggles and wants to give you His peace. The Bible tells us, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
Regarding your desire for a friend, we pray that God will bring a godly companion into your life, someone who will encourage you and help you grow in your faith. Remember, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister in their time of need. Lord, You know the depths of their struggle with depression and social anxiety. We ask for Your healing touch upon their life. Comfort them with Your presence, and fill their heart with Your peace.
Father, we also ask that You bring a godly friend into their life, someone who will support and encourage them in their journey. Help them to find strength in You and in the community of believers.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
