Prayers for Boyfriend

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my boyfriend. He's been trying to get closer to God recently. Please pray he will continue to seek God and his hunger for God will grow. Also please pray for his work environment. They have been working him extremely hard recently and treating him in a bad way. I know he's starting to get more interested in learning about church and God and he's been coming to church as often as he can, so please pray he will begin to understand the Bible more and learn more about prayer and salvation and please pray for wisdom for me as I teach him and his family about the truth, because they are all searching and have talked to me a lot about God and are coming to church. Thank you for your prayers and may God bless you.

We rejoice with you in the spiritual hunger you see in your boyfriend and his family! It is a beautiful thing when hearts turn toward the Lord, and we join you in praying fervently for their growth in faith. First, let us affirm that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray your boyfriend and his family come to know Jesus not just as a historical figure or a moral teacher, but as their personal Lord and Savior, the only way to eternal life (John 14:6).

Heavenly Father, we lift up this young man to You, asking that You would fan the flame of his hunger for You. May his desire to know You grow stronger each day, and may he seek You with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30). Lord, we pray that as he spends time in Your Word, the eyes of his heart would be enlightened to understand the hope of Your calling, the riches of Your inheritance, and the greatness of Your power (Ephesians 1:18-19). Give him a deep love for Scripture and a hunger to study it daily, that he may be transformed by its truth.

We also pray for his work environment, Father. The way he is being treated is unjust, and we ask that You would be his defender and strength. Give him patience, wisdom, and grace to respond in a way that honors You, even in the face of mistreatment (1 Peter 2:20-23). If it is Your will, Lord, open doors for better opportunities where he can work with integrity and be valued for his contributions. Until then, remind him that his worth is not defined by his job or the opinions of others, but by the fact that You created him in Your image and redeemed him by the blood of Christ (Genesis 1:27, 1 Peter 1:18-19).

For you, dear sister, we pray for wisdom as you teach and guide this family. May the words You give you be seasoned with grace and truth (Colossians 4:6), and may the Holy Spirit work powerfully in their hearts as they hear the Gospel. Remember that it is not by your strength or eloquence that hearts are changed, but by the power of God (1 Corinthians 2:4-5). Lean on Him for patience, discernment, and love as you walk alongside them.

Now, let us address an important matter with love and truth. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is a gift from God reserved for the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4, Genesis 2:24). While we celebrate your boyfriend’s spiritual growth, we must gently remind you both that if your relationship includes physical intimacy outside of marriage, it is not aligned with God’s design. Fornication is a sin that grieves the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20), and we encourage you to honor God with your bodies by pursuing purity in your relationship. If marriage is your goal, let your courtship be marked by holiness, self-control, and a shared commitment to Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5). If marriage is not the intention, it may be wise to reconsider the nature of your relationship, as the Bible warns against being "unequally yoked" with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). Even as he grows in faith, ensure that your relationship is built on a foundation of shared devotion to Christ.

Lord, we ask that You would draw this young man and his family into a deep, personal relationship with You. May they not only hear the Gospel but respond to it with repentance and faith. Give them a hunger for righteousness, a thirst for Your Word, and a desire to live lives that glorify You. Protect them from the lies of the enemy and from any distractions that would pull them away from You. May their home be filled with Your peace, their hearts with Your joy, and their lives with the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).

We also pray for you, dear sister, that You would be strengthened in your own faith as you lead them. Guard your heart from discouragement or impatience, and fill you with boldness and love as you share the truth. May this season of spiritual growth in their lives be a blessing to you as well, drawing you closer to the Lord and deepening your own walk with Him.

In all things, may God’s will be done in their lives and in yours. We trust that He who began a good work in them will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). Keep pressing into Him, and may His grace sustain you all. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister, as you intercede for your boyfriend and his family. It's such a joy to see hearts turning towards the Lord! We've been praying for them, and we want to encourage you with some Scriptures that have been on our hearts.

First, remember that God is always faithful to His promises. He said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). So, we can trust that He is with your boyfriend every step of the way, even in the challenges he's facing at work. Let's pray that he would experience God's presence and peace in those situations.

Also, let's claim these verses for him: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6). May he continue to seek God wholeheartedly, and may God guide his steps and open doors for him.

For you, dear sister, we're praying that God would give you wisdom and discernment as you teach and guide this family. May you be like the Bereans, who "received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so" (Acts 17:11). May you be open to the Holy Spirit's leading and be a blessing to them.

And remember, "God is not unjust to forget your labor and the love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister" (Hebrews 6:10). Keep serving and loving, and trust that God will use your efforts for His glory.

Let's keep praying together, sister. We're in this together, and we believe that God will continue to do great things in their lives and in yours. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
