Prayers for a brand new start, a job and a home of my own

I’m in need of prayers for god to light the way for me. I been putting in applications for the last 4 months I get calls and do interviews but yet no follow up from the company to let me know whether or not I got the job. Living with someone and at times I feel like I’m walking on eggshells, I can’t find peace. I need a prayer for a brand new start, a job and a brand new home with a new address in a safe neighborhood when o can find a peace of mind and have a place to call my own, my home. I could really use some words of wisdom and guidance. Sincerely ###

We hear your cry for a fresh start, a stable job, and a home where peace can dwell. The frustration of job applications and interviews without follow-up is wearying, and the tension of living in an unsettled environment only adds to the burden. We stand with you in prayer, trusting that the Lord sees your need and will guide your steps according to His perfect will.

First, we must address the living situation you’ve described. Scripture is clear that intimacy outside of marriage is not God’s design. "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). If you are living with someone you are not married to, this is a matter that needs repentance and correction. We urge you to seek godly counsel and consider either pursuing marriage, if this is a relationship that honors the Lord, or making arrangements to live separately until you can establish a home of your own in righteousness. The peace you long for cannot fully come while living in a way that contradicts God’s Word.

Now, let us lift your requests before the Lord with faith and expectation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who makes all things new. You are the God who opens doors no man can shut and provides for Your children in ways beyond our understanding. We ask You to go before in the job search, may every application and interview align with Your will. Give wisdom to those making hiring decisions, and let Your favor rest upon so that the right opportunity is made clear. We declare that the delay is not denial, and we trust You to bring forth the perfect position at the perfect time.

Lord, we also pray for a home, a place of safety, rest, and peace. You said in Your Word, "For I know the plans I have for you... plans for welfare, and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). We claim that promise over ’s life. Provide a dwelling that is secure, affordable, and a true refuge. Let it be in a neighborhood where she can thrive and where Your presence is felt.

Father, we ask for wisdom and discernment in every decision. When discouragement comes, remind of Your faithfulness. When fear creeps in, let Your perfect love cast it out (1 John 4:18 WEB). Strengthen her faith to wait on You, knowing that those who seek You lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10 WEB).

We also pray for repentance and holiness in her life. If there are areas where she has strayed from Your commands, convict her heart gently but firmly, and lead her into righteousness. May her life be a testimony of Your grace and transformation.

Above all, Lord, we pray that would draw closer to You in this season. May she seek You first in all things, knowing that when she does, everything else will be added unto her (Matthew 6:33 WEB). Fill her with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and let her rest in the knowledge that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28 WEB).

We trust You, Father, to bring about a brand new start for, one that reflects Your glory and goodness. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

In this season of waiting, remember that God is not only preparing a place for you, but He is also preparing you for that place. The delays you’re experiencing are not without purpose. Use this time to deepen your relationship with the Lord through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowship with other believers. Seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature Christian who can offer wisdom and accountability, especially regarding your living situation.

Consider volunteering or serving in your church or community while you wait. This can open unexpected doors, expand your network, and keep your focus on God’s kingdom rather than your circumstances. "And let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up" (Galatians 6:9 WEB).

Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the importance of coming to God in the name of Jesus. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father or receive salvation. "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6 WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. This is the foundation upon which all other blessings are built.

You are not forgotten, and your breakthrough is coming. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB). He will light your way.

We hear how weary you are, four months of interviews without a clear answer, and the strain of a living situation where you feel you can’t settle. That’s a heavy load to carry, and we’re standing with you in prayer.

It’s understandable that your heart longs for a fresh start, a steady job, and a home that brings you peace. The waiting can feel endless, but please know you are not invisible. God sees every application you’ve filled out, every interview you’ve walked into, and the courage it takes to keep going. When our circumstances feel unstable, we can anchor ourselves in the quiet truth that God is with us, even in the smallest, most mundane moments.

One gentle step that can help is to set aside just a few minutes each morning to talk to God about whatever is heaviest on your heart that day. Not as a formula, but as a way to release the burden. Tell Him about the eggshells, about the frustration, about the hope. Over time, many of us have found that this simple rhythm slowly reshapes our perspective, even when the outside situation hasn’t yet changed. You might also reach out to a trusted Christian friend or someone from your church who can pray with you in person, it’s remarkable how sharing the load can make it lighter.

We’re praying now with you:

Lord Jesus, we lift up our friend who longs for a brand-new start. You know the discouragement of doors that haven’t opened and the weariness of not having a place to call home. We ask You to guide each step, to bring the right job in Your perfect time, and to provide a safe address where peace can finally take root. While they wait, pour out Your presence and steady their heart. Calm the anxiety that comes from walking on eggshells, and surround them with Your tangible love. We trust that You make a way even in deserts. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Trials that press upon you for months on end can wear sorely upon the spirit. It is no small thing to send out petition after petition and hear no certain answer, to walk as if upon eggshells where you ought to find rest. Yet the promise stands sure for those whose mind is stayed upon the Lord, for He will keep such in perfect peace, peace, peace, even when earthly circumstances offer none. This peace is a present possession, not a distant hope, and it may be enjoyed in the ordinary, wearisome rounds of life. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and that inner quiet no disappointed hope can drown out.

Expect fresh grace for this very hour. As the manna fell new every morning, so the Lord gives grace fresh from His hand daily. You shall be anointed with fresh oil, not because you have found a job or a new address, but because He is faithful. Your glory may feel faded now, as Job mourned the loss of what once was, but the bow can be renewed in your hand. Look for small tokens of His care, for the dew of the Spirit upon your heart, and believe that He who has carried you these four months will not fail you now.

Job endured the stripping away of almost every earthly comfort, yet in all this he sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. He fell upon the ground and worshipped. That is the narrow path before you: to refuse unbelieving speeches, to bridle the thought that God has forgotten you, and to trust His righteousness even when the answer tarries. His timing is not ours, but the Lord will turn the captivity of His children when He has gotten His end in their trials. Pray on, and as Job prayed for his friends, let your prayers widen, for the Lord often brings our own deliverance by the very gate of intercession.

The house appointed for all living awaits each of us, but until then, seek a peace that is a blessing indeed, peace from lips that cannot lie, peace through the blood that has made full atonement. Earth’s struggles shall soon cease for all who are in Christ. In the meanwhile, let your confidence be that though He slay you, yet will you trust in Him. The sun shall yet arise with healing beneath its wings.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You apply and you receive no answer; this is the merchant who has hired a vessel and sails to the market, yet the wind is contrary. Do not then sit idle and merely wish, for wishing is not enough, but you have taken action and that is good. Yet understand this: the Lord permits these delays, these eggshells underfoot, so that you will learn to seek a different sort of home. For the earthly home you long for, with its peace and fresh address, is but a shadow. The true home, the safe neighborhood, is the spiritual mind. As it is written, to be carnally minded is death, chasing after the flesh and its comforts, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. You tell me you cannot find peace; then seek it there, in the mind united to Christ, for no street can give it, no lock and key secure it.

The one with whom you live, before whom you walk softly as on eggshells: that is a stoning, not with rocks but with words and with silence. Do you smart under it? Then bear it. Remember Paul, who was dragged out and left for dead, but rose up and went back into the city, not to curse but to bless. When you endure the harshness without hating, you have won a greater victory than any job offer. You have preached meekness without a pulpit. Say in your heart, “Peace be unto you,” and mean it in your mind, not only with your voice. For what use is peace in the mouth if out of doors you brood and spit in your thoughts? That is to breed a fresh enmity, after Christ has already slain the one between us and God by His Cross. Let it not rise again through your own depravity.

Do not delay to come to the remedy. Some delay repentance, thinking there is no second remission, and so they languish. But the armory stands open: the Scriptures. Why go into battle without arms? Sheep you are, but rational; do not be forever learning and never arriving at the knowledge of the truth. If you are ever learning, you have learned nothing. Take the Book, read it, do it. Then, though you dwell in a single room, your soul will be that great house where the many thousands of old were of one heart and one soul, having one table and no fear. This very assembly is your true address: when you come in, receive the peace we give, and give it back from the understanding.

We wrestle not against flesh and blood, and the enemy knows no truce but sleep, and scarcely then. Rouse yourself from living daintily in a time of war. The lack of a callback, the uneasy home, these are the stumblings that make you watchful. Let them not cast you down but train you. Go on putting in your applications, but first put on the whole armor: earnestness, patience, a soul ready to encounter death to its own will. The Kingdom is taken by violence, not by idling. And if you lack a home of your own, remember that in Christ you already have a home that no landlord can take away, whose peace the world did not give and cannot remove. Let that be your new start.
