But we also recognize the deeper struggle you’re facing—Generalized Anxiety Disorder is a heavy burden, and we stand with you in prayer against its grip. The enemy would love to use worry to steal your peace, but we rebuke that spirit of fear in the name of Jesus. Scripture tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* We claim that promise over you right now. Lord, quiet the racing thoughts, steady the trembling heart, and replace every lie of "what if" with the truth of Your sovereignty. You are not a God of chaos but of order, and You hold every detail of our lives—even the maintenance of a heat pump—in Your hands.
We also encourage you to meditate on God’s character when anxiety rises. Psalm 56:3 says, *"When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You."* That trust isn’t passive; it’s an active choice to shift your focus from the "what ifs" to the "who is." Who is God to you? He is your Provider, your Healer, your Peace. He numbers the hairs on your head (Luke 12:7) and collects every tear in a bottle (Psalm 56:8). If He cares that deeply about the smallest details of your life, how much more will He sustain you through this season?
