We join with you in prayer and we hear the urgency in your cry for deliverance, for health, for a clear mind and for rest. We stand with you against every demonic attack and oppression you are feeling from the top of your head to the soles of your feet, and we claim the authority we have in Jesus Christ, for greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. Scripture reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12, yet we are also told to be sober and self-controlled, to put on the whole armor of God Ephesians 6:11, to submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, and he will flee from us James 4:7.

We want to lovingly and directly address the pornographic cycle you mentioned, because this is an area where the enemy gains a foothold and where God calls us to repentance and freedom. The Word tells us to flee sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18, and that our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in us, which we have from God, and we are not our own, for we were bought with a price, therefore we are to glorify God in our body and in our spirit, which are God’s 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Jesus taught that even to look with lust is to commit adultery in the heart Matthew 5:28. This cycle is not just a habit but sin that needs to be confessed, repented of, and forsaken, and we praise God that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. God also promises that no temptation has taken you except what is common to man, and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it 1 Corinthians 10:13. We encourage you to bring this into the light with a trusted pastor or mature Christian brother for accountability, to remove access and make no provision for the flesh Romans 13:14, and to renew your mind daily.

We also lift up your head, your thoughts, and your sleep. God desires to give you a sound mind, for God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, and we are to be transformed by the renewing of our mind Romans 12:2 and to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5. For your rest we pray the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7, and that you will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, Yahweh, make us dwell in safety Psalm 4:8.

We bring your practical needs before the Lord as well, for He cares about every detail of our lives and will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We pray for provision and help to get your screen fixed and for the way to be opened for you to get to church, for we are not to forsake our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but to exhort one another Hebrews 10:25, and where two or three are gathered together in His name, there He is in the midst of them Matthew 18:20.

We rejoice that you closed with in Jesus’ name, for it is only by that name we have access to the Father and it is the only name by which we can be saved, for there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our brother to You. We ask for Your mercy and Your cleansing and Your deliverance over his body, mind and spirit. In Jesus’ name we rebuke every demonic influence and oppression and we command it to leave and to have no place in him, and we ask You to fill him with Your Holy Spirit, with light and peace and wholeness from the top of his head to the soles of his feet. Forgive him for every participation in sexual immorality and pornography, wash him clean by the blood of Jesus, break this cycle completely, and give him strength to flee temptation, to walk in purity, and to honor You with his body as Your temple. Heal his head, clear his thoughts, renew his mind, and grant him deep, peaceful, uninterrupted sleep night after night. Provide for the repair of his screen and make a way for him to be in fellowship at church this week. We also lift up his growth group to You, Lord, and we ask that You would add to it daily those who are being saved Acts 2:47, that You would bring new members who hunger for Your Word, and that You would cause it to double and to be a place of true discipleship, encouragement and accountability for Your glory. Let him know he is loved, forgiven, and not condemned, for there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus Romans 8:1. We trust You to answer according to Your perfect will and we thank You in advance for the freedom and healing You are bringing. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

We hear how tired you are and how much you want to feel free and clear again in your body and mind, to think straight and finally get restful sleep. We are carrying that before the Lord with you, along with your desire to break out of the pornography cycle that has felt so hard to stop.

What you described is a heavy cycle to be caught in. Many who struggle with it find it feels unmanageable on their own, like wanting to stop but feeling pulled back, often while trying to push away painful feelings. That double pull is common, and it is why trying to fight it alone rarely works for long. Willingness to get well and steady, honest accountability make a real difference. If you do not already have it, we would encourage you to reach out to a pastor or a trusted mature believer this week and ask for ongoing prayer and accountability, perhaps a small support group at church. You do not have to sort out the spiritual and physical pieces by yourself.

You also mentioned your head, your sleep, and wanting that oppression lifted from head to toe. Since sleep and clear thinking are so connected to both spiritual and physical health, please consider seeing a medical professional alongside prayer to talk through the sleep and head concerns.

We are also praying for the practical needs you named, your screen to be fixed, a way to get to church, and for your growth group to be encouraged with new members.

Father, we lift our brother to You and ask for Your mercy and peace over his body and mind. Quiet what is troubling him, guard his sleep, and give him clarity and strength day by day. Lead him to faithful help and community, and draw him close to You as he seeks You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your plea has come before us and we have carried it to the throne of grace, for the Lord hears the cry of those who seek deliverance. You speak of affliction from the top of your head to the soles of your feet, of a troubled mind and broken sleep, and of a chain which you rightly name as bondage. We do not take such things lightly, for we know that Egypt may very fairly represent those states of sorrow and depression and oppression into which the people of God come far too frequently, and that deliverance from such captivity must be worked by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah alone.

We rejoice that you desire to be free from this demonic oppression and from the cycle of impurity which has entangled you. Know this, that healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both are bestowed in Christ. The least thing about Christ is healing, for the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and even so the very touch of His garment, the very whisper of His name, brings virtue to the sick soul. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. But we must speak plainly as the Scriptures do, that the body is not for uncleanness but for the Lord, and that purity belongs within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and all else must be repented of and forsaken. Do not ask God to bless the chain, ask Him to break it. Flee from that which defiles the temple of the Holy Ghost, make no provision for the flesh, and seek the ransom which God Himself has found. The prisoner is ready to be executed, but there comes to him undeserved deliverance, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. God has said, I have found a ransom, and that ransom is the blood of the Lamb slain. When the Lamb was slain, deliverance came. Look to Christ alone for salvation and for power to walk in newness of life, confessing your sin without excuse and trusting His grace to keep you.

You ask also for a clear mind and for sleep. We are reminded that so He giveth His beloved sleep. There is a sleep of contentment and a sleep of security which the Christian enjoys, not because his troubles have vanished, but because his soul rests in the Keeper of Israel who neither slumbers nor sleeps. We will pray that the Lord will quiet the noise within, that He will grant you a settled mind to think with soberness, and that He will give you that peculiar sleep of the beloved, which is a means of refreshment to fit us for fresh service when we awake. Cast your cares upon Him before you lie down, and let no screen and no secret sin rob you of that rest.

You mention also your screen needing to be fixed and your desire to get to church. These are not small things to our God, who numbers the hairs of your head. We will pray that the Lord will provide what is needful in His providence, and that no hindrance will keep you from the assembly of His people. Do not sleep as do others, but let us watch and be sober, and let us not fold our arms and say the work is done. The gathering of the saints is where the Word is preached, where the healing leaves are applied, and where brethren bear one another's burdens. Make every effort to be there, and the Lord will meet you.

For your growth group we also pray. It is a good desire that the borders should be enlarged, yet we pray not merely for numbers but for life, that new members may be added who have tasted that the Lord is gracious. May the Lord give you peace within your borders and deliverance from the archers of discord, and may He make your little company to be a place where the works of the Lord are declared. For if we had no troubles we would have less to declare, but when He delivers us we live to tell what He has done. May He double your size if it be for His glory and for the gathering of souls.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, who has found a ransom and who has risen with healing in His wings, look upon this afflicted one. Chasten not in anger, but in mercy deliver from head to foot. Break the power of sin and of the evil one, wash the conscience in the blood of Christ, and set the captive free indeed. Grant a sound mind and give Thy beloved sleep, that the thoughts may be stayed upon Thee and the body refreshed for Thy service. Provide for the needful things of this life, open the way to Thy house, and keep the feet from wandering. Bless the growth group, add to it such as should be saved, and make it fruitful in love and truth. All this we ask not for our worthiness, but for the sake of Jesus Christ our only hope, to whom be glory. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer request has been heard and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord with seriousness and hope.

We pray for your health, for your mind to be made clear and steady, and for the gift of peaceful sleep. We pray that God will grant you deliverance from every evil oppression and that He will drive out whatever has taken hold of you from the top of your head to the soles of your feet. Scripture teaches that Christ came for two great purposes, to deliver us from evil and to supply what is good, to free us from the curse and to bring us into adoption as sons through faith in Him and through His Spirit. That deliverance is found in Jesus Christ alone, and we ask for it for you now.

We also pray specifically about the cycle of pornography you mentioned. This is not a small struggle and it is not to be excused, but it is to be repented of and forsaken. It defiles the body and the mind, and like a sickness it makes a person lose shame and clarity. Yet God is merciful to those who turn to Him. We pray that He will give you a true hatred for this sin, a love for purity, and strength to walk away from it. This will require more than a single prayer. It will require a careful hearing of the word of God and continual remembrance of it, fortitude in resisting temptation, and a turning away from worldly things that feed the habit. If you have not already, bring this struggle into the light with a trusted pastor or mature believer in your church who can hold you accountable, help you set boundaries with screens and private time, and walk with you in repentance. Fill the place where sin has lived with good things, with Scripture, prayer, and fellowship, so that your mouth and eyes and mind are given to what is holy.

We pray for your mind and for sleep, that God will calm anxious thoughts and grant you rest. Keep a simple rhythm of prayer and reading the word before sleep, avoid screens late at night, and seek counsel if sleeplessness continues, trusting that God is the physician who does not give up even when healing takes time. As one healing treatment may not show fruit at once, yet repeated hearing and obedience will in time bear fruit, so do not grow weary in coming to the word again and again.

We pray also for your practical needs, that your screen would be repaired as God provides, and that the way would be opened for you to gather with the church. The gathering of believers is not a small thing, it is where the word is heard, where prayer is strengthened, and where love is practiced.

We pray for your growth group, that God would add to your number and more importantly that He would deepen your love and maturity. Love is what makes faith and knowledge and gifts truly fruitful, and we pray that your group would grow not only in size but in that love which builds up the body of Christ.

Let us pray together:

Father in heaven, we come through Jesus Christ Your Son. Have mercy on this Your child. Wash away sin by the blood of Christ, break the power of every demonic oppression, and set this body and mind free. Renew the mind, grant hatred for impurity and hunger for holiness, grant clear thought and deep sleep, provide for daily needs, open the way to Your house, and cause Your word to dwell richly. Lead into a life of steady obedience and love, and let this growth group bear lasting fruit for Your glory. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily, to hear His word, to confess sin quickly, and to walk in the light with other believers. God is able to restore and to keep you, even when the struggle has been long.
