We have heard your request and we stand with you in this difficult and unsettling situation at your workplace. We understand how distressing it is to feel under suspicion when you have done nothing wrong, especially when your job requires you to move throughout the building and that very movement might be misunderstood. We want you to know that God sees the truth and He cares deeply about your integrity and your peace of mind.
The Lord knows when we are falsely accused and He is our defender. We are reminded in Proverbs 10:9 that he who walks with integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out. And in Psalm 37:5-6 we are told to commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this, he will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noonday. Even when others may whisper or imply things that are not true, God knows your heart and your actions. Jesus himself said in Luke 8:17 that nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light. We trust that what is hidden concerning this missing item will be brought to light, whether through the cameras or by other means, and that the truth will be made clear.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to gently share with you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father and it is only by His name that we can be saved and our prayers heard. In John 14:6 Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we read there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. Guard his reputation and his employment, Lord, and let his faithful work be seen. Give him peace that surpasses understanding as described in Philippians 4:6-7, so that he will not be anxious but will trust in You. Help him to continue to work heartily as for You and not for men as taught in Colossians 3:23, walking with integrity and with a clear conscience. Protect his heart from bitterness toward those who have suspected him, and help him to respond with grace and wisdom. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

Your burden has been brought before the Lord and we have prayed for you in this trial.
It is a painful thing to lie under suspicion, especially when your daily work requires you to move faithfully through the building and to be trusted by those around you. We understand why you do not like the implications, and we ask the Lord to make the truth plain. If cameras are in place, we pray that what they reveal will clear your name and show what truly happened, and that those who have spoken upon mere supposition will see the matter as it is.
Take care that anxiety does not master you in this waiting. Anxiety has never comforted any man, nor has it ever brought grist to the mill. Indeed the very anxiety which comes through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Cast this care upon the Lord, who sees what is done in secret and who will not leave the upright without witness. Be diligent in your duties, walk honestly before God and before men, and leave your character in His keeping.
When a false report touches a man, often the least said is the soonest mended. Do not strive to justify yourself with many words. Speak the truth quietly when you are asked, and let your steady conduct speak for you. Remember that there is a higher justification than the opinion of men. On the cross, divine justice received its full vindication when Christ died for sinners, and by faith in Him we are cleared before God. And even in this life, His eye is fixed upon His people, and He will in due time clear the righteous from every accusation brought against them.
We have prayed thus for you, that the Lord would reveal what has been hidden, that He would guard your heart from fear, that He would keep your tongue from hasty speech, and that He would give you peace to continue faithfully in your labour until the matter is resolved. May you be kept in integrity, and may you know the comfort of a clear conscience before God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
If in any point conscience does accuse you, even in small things, deal truly with God at once and confess it to Him, for He is faithful to forgive through the blood of Christ. If your conscience is clear in this matter, rest there, and let the Lord be your defender.
