We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of injustice, betrayal, and financial strain. Father God, we thank You for this dear one’s trust in You as their Provider, and we stand in agreement with their cry for divine intervention. Your Word declares in Psalm 37:25, *"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."* Lord, we claim this promise over their life, believing You will open doors no man can shut and provide in ways only You can orchestrate.
We rebuke the spirit of oppression and exploitation that has taken root in this workplace. The treatment this child of God has endured—being lured under false pretenses, then discarded without regard—is a direct violation of Your command in James 5:4, *"Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies."* Heavenly Father, let justice roll down like waters. We pray You would expose any deceit, favoritism, or unethical practices in that place, and that those who have sown discord would reap the consequences of their actions. Let Your light shine into the darkness, and may the owners and those who participated in this wrongdoing be convicted by Your Holy Spirit to repent and make restitution.
We also address the spiritual warfare at play here. The evil spirit this ex-boss carries is not unseen by You, Lord. We stand on Ephesians 6:12, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* We bind every spirit of strife, manipulation, and retaliation in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against this believer shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we pray for their protection from further harm—spiritually, emotionally, and financially.
Lord, we ask You to intervene in the practical matters at hand. The hotel bill is due, and transportation has become a barrier to employment. Your Word says in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray for supernatural provision—whether through an unexpected job offer, a generous gift, or a door opening in a place where public transit is accessible. Give them favor with potential employers, and let their skills and integrity shine before those who have the power to hire them. We also ask that You would soften the hearts of those who may be in a position to assist them financially or logistically, that they would be moved to act in kindness.
We encourage this dear one to continue walking in faith and obedience. James 2:17 reminds us, *"Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself."* While we trust God to move miraculously, we also recognize the importance of diligence. We pray for wisdom in job searching, networking, and even exploring temporary work or community resources that may provide relief. Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, they *will* reap if they do not faint (Galatians 6:9).
We must also address the matter of discernment and forgiveness. This situation has clearly caused deep hurt, and while it is right to call out injustice, we are called to release bitterness. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* Lord, help them to forgive those who have wronged them—not for the sake of the offenders, but for their own peace and spiritual freedom. Let them entrust vengeance to You, knowing You will repay (Romans 12:19).
Finally, we lift up their emotional and spiritual well-being. The enemy would love to use this trial to sow doubt, fear, or despair, but we declare that this believer is *more than a conqueror* through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). We pray for joy to rise in their heart, for hope to anchor their soul, and for the peace of God—which surpasses all understanding—to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Surround them with godly community—believers who can pray with them, encourage them, and stand in the gap when they feel weak.
Heavenly Father, we thank You that You are a God who sees, hears, and acts on behalf of Your children. We trust that this trial will not break them but will refine them, drawing them closer to You. Let every closed door lead to a better one, every loss be restored, and every hurt be healed by Your loving hand. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who came to set the captives free and bind up the brokenhearted. Amen.
