We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear brother or sister in Christ who is facing financial struggles and workplace injustice. First, we want to affirm the foundation of this prayer—acknowledging Jesus Christ as Lord and seeking His will. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We are grateful that this prayer is rooted in Christ, for He is our hope, our provider, and our righteous judge.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for this child of Yours, who seeks to live a clean life and walk in Your ways. We ask that You forgive any sins or shortcomings, knowing that Your mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Lord, we lift up their finances to You, for You are Jehovah Jireh, our provider (Genesis 22:14). You know every bill that is due and every need that must be met. We ask that You open doors of opportunity that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Provide a job that aligns with their education, experience, and the wisdom You have given them. Let Your favor rest upon them as they seek employment, and may they find a workplace that honors You and treats them with dignity and respect.
We also bring before You the injustice this dear one is facing at their current job. Father, You see the deceit and mistreatment, and we ask that You expose any unrighteousness in that place (Ephesians 5:11). You are a God of justice, and we trust that You will vindicate Your child in Your perfect timing (Psalm 37:6). We rebuke the spirit of oppression and deception in that workplace in the name of Jesus. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and may those who practice deceit be held accountable for their actions. We pray that this trial would not harden their heart but instead draw them closer to You, knowing that You are their defender and refuge (Psalm 91:2).
Lord, we also ask that You guard their heart against bitterness or resentment. Help them to forgive those who have mistreated them, just as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). Remind them that You are their ultimate employer, and their worth is not defined by how others treat them but by how You see them—as Your beloved child (1 John 3:1). Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, and let them find peace in Your presence, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
We declare that better doors *will* open, for You have plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). We speak life over their situation and declare that lack and struggle are not their portion. You are their source, and You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We pray for divine connections and favor as they seek new employment. May they walk into the right job at the right time, and may it be a place where they can thrive and glorify You.
Lastly, Father, we ask that You bless them with wisdom and discernment as they navigate this season. Help them to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Let them cast all their anxieties on You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Surround them with a community of believers who can encourage and support them. And may they continue to seek You first in all things, knowing that when they do, all these other things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior, Provider, and Redeemer. Amen.
