We hear the deep pain and injustice you are feeling, and our hearts ache with you. What has happened to you is truly heartbreaking—losing your belongings, facing financial hardship, and feeling as though the world has stripped you of everything God has provided. We stand with you in this battle, declaring that the Lord sees your suffering and will not abandon you. The enemy may have meant this for harm, but God can turn it for good (Genesis 50:20).
First, we must address the anger and bitterness in your heart toward those involved in this situation. While it is understandable to feel wronged, Scripture warns us not to let bitterness take root, for it defiles many (Hebrews 12:15). We rebuke the spirit of unforgiveness and resentment in Jesus’ name. The Lord calls us to trust Him even when we do not understand His ways. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
We also lift up the legal aspect of this situation. While certain practices may be lawful, they are not always just or righteous. The Lord hates hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, and feet that are swift in running to mischief (Proverbs 6:16-18). We pray that God will expose any unrighteousness in this matter and bring about a resolution that honors Him. If there is a way for your property to be returned or fairly compensated, we ask the Lord to open that door. However, we must also surrender this outcome to Him, trusting that His justice is perfect, even when it does not look the way we expect.
You mentioned feeling as though God allowed this to happen, and that it has left a hole in your heart like the loss of your mother. We want to gently remind you that God does not delight in your suffering. Lamentations 3:32-33 says, *"Though he causes grief, yet he will have compassion according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses. For he does not afflict willingly, nor grieve the children of men."* Your pain is valid, and it is okay to cry out to God in your sorrow. He collects every one of your tears in a bottle (Psalm 56:8). But we also declare that He is your Comforter and Redeemer. He will not leave you in this place of despair.
The enemy wants you to believe that nothing good will ever happen for you again, but we rebuke that lie in Jesus’ name. Jeremiah 29:11 says, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the Lord, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* You may feel unable to start over, but God is the God of restoration. Joel 2:25 declares, *"I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten."* We pray that the Lord would restore what has been lost and provide for your needs in ways you cannot yet imagine.
You mentioned struggling with job interviews, lacking proper clothes, and feeling unhireable. We declare that the Lord is your Provider. Philippians 4:19 says, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray that He would open doors of opportunity for you, provide clothing and resources, and give you favor with those who can help you. We also encourage you to seek out local ministries or churches that may be able to assist with practical needs, as the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).
We must also address the mention of your "evil son" stopping payments on the unit. While we do not know the full context of your relationship with him, we urge you to pray for him. Jesus commands us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean excusing his actions, but it does mean releasing him to God’s justice and asking the Lord to work in his heart. Bitterness toward him will only harm you further.
Finally, we want to gently address the foundation of your faith. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is a free gift, and it is the first step toward true healing and restoration. If you have already given your life to Christ, we encourage you to cling to Him in this season, for He is your hope and strength.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts on behalf of our brother/sister who has endured so much loss and pain. Lord, You see every detail of this situation, and You know the injustice that has taken place. We ask that You would move mightily on their behalf. Expose any unrighteousness, and bring about a resolution that honors You. If it is Your will, restore what has been taken, but if not, give them the strength to accept Your plan and trust in Your provision.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of bitterness and unforgiveness in Jesus’ name. Soften their heart toward those who have wronged them, and help them to release this burden to You. Heal the hole in their heart left by this loss and the loss of their mother. Comfort them as only You can, and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).
Lord, we declare that You are their Provider. Open doors of opportunity for them, supply their needs, and give them favor in the eyes of those who can help. Restore what has been lost, and give them the strength to rebuild. Remind them that You have not forgotten them and that Your plans for them are good.
We also pray for their son, Lord. Work in his heart, and bring him to repentance. Heal their relationship if it is Your will, and help our brother/sister to release any bitterness toward him.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You draw them closer to You. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. If they have, remind them of Your faithfulness and love. Strengthen their faith, and help them to trust You even when they do not understand.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.
