We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you battle this severe bout of bronchitis and its impact on your asthma. Your suffering is not unseen by our Heavenly Father, who cares deeply for every detail of your life. We stand with you in faith, declaring that by the stripes of Jesus, you were healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in His power to restore your health completely.
Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon our dear brother/sister. We rebuke this illness in the mighty name of Jesus—every inflammation, every cough, every tightness in the chest, and every wave of sickness that has taken hold. Your Word declares that You send forth Your word and heal them, and deliver them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20). We claim that promise now. Lord, breathe Your healing breath into their lungs, soothe their throat, and strengthen their body. Ease the coughing attacks and restore their strength so they may fulfill the responsibilities You have entrusted to them.
We also lift up their heart and mind, asking that You comfort them in this difficult time. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Even when they feel weak, Your strength is made perfect in their weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Help them to rest in You, trusting that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We encourage you to continue seeking wise medical care while standing on God’s promises. Do not grow weary in prayer, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16). Keep declaring God’s Word over your body, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). You are not alone in this battle—we stand with you, believing that God will bring complete restoration.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the name of Jesus, the only name by which we have access to You and the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We come boldly to Your throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray for complete healing, strength, and peace. Amen.
