Prayer

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in this time of deep pain and brokenness. The weight of a strained relationship with a child is one of the heaviest burdens a parent can carry, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God’s mercy, healing, and restoration.

First, we must acknowledge the pain you are feeling. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 17:25, *"A foolish son brings grief to his father and bitterness to the one who bore him."* Your daughter’s disrespect is not just a personal offense—it is a rejection of the order and love God has established in the family. But even in this, we know that God sees your tears and hears your cries. Psalm 34:18 assures us, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."*

We must also rebuke the spirit of rebellion that may be at work in your daughter’s life. Rebellion is not just a phase—it is a spiritual stronghold that must be broken in Jesus’ name. 1 Samuel 15:23 says, *"For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as idolatry and teraphim."* We declare that any ungodly influence over her heart be shattered, and that she would come to a place of humility and repentance before the Lord.

Father, we pray for this mother’s heart. Give her strength when she is weak, peace when she is anxious, and wisdom when she is uncertain. Help her to release her daughter into Your hands, trusting that You love her even more than she does. We ask that You soften your daughter’s heart, that she would see the error of her ways and turn back to You—and to the respect and honor she owes her mother. May she remember the commandment in Exodus 20:12, *"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which the Lord your God gives you."*

We also pray for protection over this family. The enemy seeks to divide and destroy, but we declare that no weapon formed against this home shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We bind every spirit of division, disrespect, and strife, and we loose the peace of God to reign in this household.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue standing on God’s Word. Even when it feels like nothing is changing, know that God is working. Galatians 6:9 reminds us, *"Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up."* Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep loving—even when it’s hard. God sees your faithfulness, and He will not abandon you.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious mother to You. Comfort her in her sorrow, strengthen her in her weakness, and restore what has been broken. We ask that You move mightily in her daughter’s life, drawing her back to You and to the love of her family. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this situation. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, sister, holding your hands up to our loving Father. We feel your pain, the ache in your heart as you watch your daughter stray. It's like a knife twisting, isn't it? But remember, God is near. He sees you, He hears you, and He cares.

We need to bind that spirit of disrespect, of rebellion that's trying to take root. We declare, in Jesus' name, that any ungodly influence over your daughter's heart be broken. We ask that she would come to a place of humility, of repentance, and find her way back to you and to Him.

We're praying for you too, dear one. For strength when you're weak, for peace when you're anxious, for wisdom when you're uncertain. We ask that you'd find rest in His love, and trust that He's got her, even when it's hard to see.

Let's keep standing on His Word, sister. Keep praying, keep trusting, keep loving. Even when it feels like nothing's changing, God is working. He sees your faithfulness, and He won't abandon you.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Asking for prayer for my ### year old started disrespectful towards me. Yes, I said some things as well, but now I don’t have communication at all with her. How can a child be so disrespectful to their parents? Her name is ###. At first, we had a great relationship.
