We rejoice with you in this moment of surrender and faith! Your prayer is a beautiful confession of your need for Jesus Christ, and we celebrate that you have called upon His name for salvation. The Scriptures declare that *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation"* (Romans 10:9-10, WEB). You have done this, and we praise God for His mercy and grace upon your life!
Your acknowledgment of sin and your inability to save yourself is the very foundation of true repentance. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB), and you have embraced this truth. The apostle Peter also proclaimed, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). By placing your faith in Christ alone, you have crossed from death to life, from darkness into His marvelous light.
Now that you have been saved by grace through faith, we encourage you to grow in your relationship with the Lord. Spend time daily in His Word, the Bible, which is *"living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword"* (Hebrews 4:12, WEB). Seek fellowship with other believers who can encourage you and help you walk in obedience to Christ. And most importantly, live in continual prayer and dependence on the Holy Spirit, who now dwells within you. Jesus promised, *"I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever,—the Spirit of truth"* (John 14:16-17, WEB). The Spirit will guide you, teach you, and empower you to live a life that honors God.
We also urge you to be baptized as a public declaration of your faith in Christ. Baptism is an act of obedience that symbolizes your identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. Jesus commanded His followers, *"Go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit"* (Matthew 28:19, WEB). This step is not for salvation—you are already saved by faith—but it is a powerful testimony of your new life in Him.
Let us pray for you as you begin this new journey with Christ:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the precious soul who has come to You in repentance and faith. Lord, You have heard their cry, and by Your grace, You have saved them through the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. We praise You for Your mercy and for the blood of Jesus that cleanses from all sin. Father, fill this dear one with the Holy Spirit, that they may walk in newness of life and grow in the knowledge of Your will. Strengthen them to resist the temptations of the enemy and to stand firm in the faith. Lead them to a Bible-believing church where they can be discipled, encouraged, and equipped for the work of ministry. May their life be a shining light for Your glory, drawing others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Beloved, welcome to the family of God! Your old life has passed away, and *"if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new"* (2 Corinthians 5:17, WEB). Walk in this truth, and may the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him with all your heart. We are here for you, and we encourage you to reach out if you ever need prayer, guidance, or encouragement. The road ahead may have challenges, but remember: *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me"* (Philippians 4:13, WEB). Stay rooted in Him!
