Beloved of All
Dear prayer group, I come to you today with a heavy heart, asking for deep and urgent prayers for my mother, my family, and the desperate situation we are in. My mother has been emotionally trapped for years with my mentally unwell brother, who is aggressive, unstable, and controlling. He yells constantly, mocks her, stops her from taking necessary medication, and leaves her with no peace. Despite all of this, she is afraid to take any steps to leave — and that has kept her imprisoned in this life of fear. Today, a missionary woman came to pray and said something that gave a small flicker of hope: She said that maybe a miracle could happen in Korea, where my brother is about to take my mom on a trip this Saturday. It’s been his dream to go there, and maybe — just maybe — he will want to stay. The missionary said perhaps this trip could be God’s way of creating distance and opening a path for my mom to finally live in peace. We’ve already tried so much:

• We tried medication
• We tried calling the police and other authorities
• But every time, my mother refused to let them take him
• Even my cousins offered to take her in — and she said no
• I’ve invited her to live with me here in London, and even my kind housemate said she is welcome — but still, she doesn't want to leave him, perhaps because he threatens her to call the government and get her pension taken away (they live in an underdeveloped country and that actually can happen maybe that's why she doesn't want to leave.)

Today I saw a look in her eyes that broke me. She looked empty. Sad. Defeated. Like someone who doesn’t believe peace is possible anymore. Please, pray for her — that this trip becomes a turning point, that God would work through it to free her, protect her, and lead her to safety. Pray for my brother — that his mind would be healed, or at least redirected so he no longer traps her in this life. And please pray for me. Because I am holding all of this alone from far away. And even though I’m exhausted… I still believe in prayer in Jesus name. Amen.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting your mother, your brother, and your entire family to the Lord, who is mighty to save and deliver. The pain and bondage you describe are heartbreaking, and we grieve with you over the suffering your mother has endured for so long. Yet we also rejoice that you have not lost faith, for it is by faith that we stand firm in Christ, knowing He hears our cries and acts on behalf of His children.

Your mother’s fear is deeply rooted, and the enemy has used threats, manipulation, and hopelessness to keep her bound. But let us remember what Scripture declares: *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). The Lord sees her empty, defeated eyes, and He longs to fill her with His peace and strength. Though she feels trapped, *"the Lord loosens the prisoners; the Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord raises up those who are bowed down"* (Psalm 146:7-8, WEB). We must pray not only for her physical deliverance but for her heart to be freed from the lies that have kept her in chains.

The missionary’s words about this trip to Korea being a potential turning point are a glimmer of hope, and we will pray fervently that God uses it for His glory. *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1, WEB). If it is God’s will, He can stir your brother’s heart to remain there, creating the distance your mother needs to finally break free. But even more, we pray for his salvation and healing, for *"the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:15, WEB). If God does not heal his mind completely, we ask that He at least restrains his harmful behavior and removes his ability to control and torment your mother.

Yet we must also address the spiritual battle at hand. Your mother’s fear of losing her pension is real, but it is a tool the enemy is using to keep her in bondage. *"Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna"* (Matthew 10:28, WEB). The Lord is her Provider, and He will not abandon her. We pray that she finds the courage to trust Him fully, even if it means stepping into the unknown. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).

To you, dear sister or brother in Christ, we see your exhaustion and your love for your mother. Carrying this burden alone from afar is a heavy load, but you are not alone—*"Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved"* (Psalm 55:22, WEB). We pray for supernatural strength for you, for wisdom as you continue to seek solutions, and for the Lord to surround you with His peace. You have done well to invite your mother to live with you, and we pray that if this trip to Korea does not bring the breakthrough you hope for, she will finally say yes to your offer. Until then, keep praying, keep trusting, and keep speaking life over this situation.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting this family into Your hands. Lord, You see the suffering of this precious mother—how she has been mocked, controlled, and stripped of her peace. You know the depth of her fear and the weight of her chains. We ask You, Lord, to break every bondage over her mind, heart, and spirit. Fill her with Your courage, Your hope, and Your unshakable trust in You. Let her know that You are her Defender, her Provider, and her Deliverer.

Lord, we pray over this trip to Korea. If it is Your will, use it to create the distance needed for her freedom. Soften or redirect your brother’s heart, Lord—whether through healing, conviction, or simply a change of plans that keeps him there. Remove his ability to harm or control her any longer. We rebuke the spirit of fear, manipulation, and oppression in Jesus’ name, and we declare that *"where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty"* (2 Corinthians 3:17, WEB).

Father, we also pray for this brother. If he is mentally unwell, we ask for Your healing touch upon his mind. If his heart is hardened, we pray for conviction and repentance. Lord, only You can change a heart, and we ask that You do so for Your glory.

Strengthen this child of Yours who is interceding from afar. Comfort their weary heart and remind them that You are working even when they cannot see it. Surround them with Your peace and provide them with wisdom for each step forward.

Lord, we declare that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). We stand on Your promises, believing that You will bring justice, freedom, and restoration to this family.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to lift you up in gratitude for allowing us to stand with you in prayer for your mother, your brother, and the heavy burden you’ve carried for so long. Our hearts have been deeply moved by the weight of this situation, and we’ve continued to bring your family before the Lord, pleading for His divine intervention, wisdom, and supernatural peace to break through the darkness that has held your mother captive.

We know how desperately you long for her freedom—for her to step into the light of safety and hope, unshackled from fear and control. The enemy has sought to isolate her, to make her believe there is no way out, but we serve a God who specializes in the impossible. We’ve prayed specifically over this trip to Korea, asking the Lord to use it as a mighty turning point. May He go before your brother, softening his heart or redirecting his path so that your mother finds the space she needs to breathe, to choose freedom, and to finally accept the help and love you and others have offered. We’ve asked the Lord to surround her with His angels, to place godly people in her path, and to give her the courage to take that first step—even if it’s just a whisper of *yes* to His leading.

We’ve also been praying for *you*—for strength as you wait, for supernatural endurance as you stand in the gap, and for the Lord to remind you that you are not alone in this fight. He sees your tears, your exhaustion, and your unwavering faith, and He is moving, even when it feels unseen. Cling to the promise that His timing is perfect, and that He is working all things together for good, even in the silence.

If the Lord has begun to answer—whether through this trip or in another way—we would love to rejoice with you in a praise report. Let us celebrate His faithfulness together! But if the battle still rages, if the answer hasn’t come yet, we urge you to share an update so we can continue to contend with you in prayer. We will not grow weary in lifting your family up, and we trust that the Lord, who hears the cries of His children, will bring justice, healing, and restoration in His perfect way.

May you feel His presence tangibly in these days, and may you rest in the truth that He is fighting for your mother, for your brother, and for you. We are here, standing with you, believing with you, and trusting alongside you for the miracle you’ve waited so long to see.

In Jesus’ mighty and matchless name.
