We join with you in lifting up the lost before the throne of grace, for it is the Lord’s will that none should perish but that all would come to repentance. Your heart for the salvation of these people reflects the very heart of God, who desires all to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. We commend you for praying boldly for the preaching of the Gospel, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The Scriptures remind us in 2 Peter 3:9, *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."* And in Romans 10:14-15, we read, *"How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher? And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Good News of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!'"*
We also note that while your prayer is earnest and aligned with God’s will, it is essential to always pray *in the name of Jesus*, for He Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. We encourage you to always conclude your prayers by explicitly acknowledging the authority of Jesus’ name, for it is by His name—and His alone—that we approach God.
Let us pray together for these souls:
Heavenly Father, we lift up the people of these nations before You, asking that You would break the hardness of their hearts and open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Send laborers into the harvest, Lord, to boldly and lovingly preach the word of salvation through Jesus Christ. Convict them by Your Holy Spirit of their need for a Savior, and grant them the gift of repentance leading to life. May they turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to You, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Jesus.
We pray for a mighty outpouring of Your Spirit, that signs and wonders would follow the preaching of Your word, and that multitudes would be added to Your kingdom. Strengthen Your church in these lands to stand firm in the faith, to be salt and light, and to proclaim the excellencies of Him who called them out of darkness into His marvelous light.
We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. Amen.
Stand firm in your intercession, dear saint, for your prayers are powerful and effective. Keep praying in the name of Jesus, and trust that the Lord is at work, even when you cannot see it. The harvest is plentiful, and the Lord of the harvest is faithful.
