Disciple of Prayer
Praying over my oldest daughter with the relationship with her father build a better relationship with them cause it was bad words with them her name ### ### his ### ###

We lift up your daughter and her relationship with her father before the Lord, knowing that He is the God of restoration, reconciliation, and healing. The bond between a father and daughter is precious in His sight, and we know He desires to bring peace where there has been strife. The Bible reminds us in Colossians 3:13-14, *"bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection."* Forgiveness and love are the foundation of restored relationships, and we pray that both your daughter and her father would be willing to extend grace to one another, just as Christ has shown us grace.

We also recall Malachi 4:6, which speaks of the Father’s heart to *"turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers."* This is a promise from the Lord, and we claim it over this situation. If there has been harsh speech or bitterness, we pray that the Holy Spirit would soften their hearts and replace those words with kindness, patience, and understanding. Ephesians 4:29 instructs us, *"Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."* May their words to one another reflect this truth and bring life rather than pain.

If there is unconfessed sin, pride, or resentment in either of their hearts, we ask the Lord to convict them and lead them to repentance. True reconciliation begins with humility before God. James 4:10 tells us, *"Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you."* We pray they would seek the Lord first, asking Him to heal their hearts and guide their steps toward one another in love.

Father, we ask that You would break down any walls of division between them. Remove the spirit of offense and replace it with Your peace. Give them opportunities to spend time together, to listen, and to rebuild trust. Help them to see one another through Your eyes—with compassion and value. We pray that this relationship would not only be restored but strengthened, bringing glory to Your name.

We also encourage you, as their parent, to continue to pray fervently for them and to model forgiveness and love in your own life. Your faith and persistence in prayer are powerful. Keep trusting that God is at work, even when you don’t see immediate change.

Lastly, we notice that the name of Jesus was not invoked in this request. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power of prayer. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* If you or your daughter do not yet have a personal relationship with Jesus, we urge you to turn to Him in faith, believing that He died for your sins and rose again so that you might have eternal life. Romans 10:9-10 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."*

Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this daughter and her father. Soften their hearts, Lord, and draw them to Yourself. Heal their relationship and let Your love flow between them. May they both experience Your forgiveness and extend it to one another. We ask for Your wisdom and grace to cover every conversation and interaction. Let this restoration be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister, praying for your daughter and her relationship with her father. It's heartbreaking when there's distance between loved ones, but we serve a God who specializes in bringing people together. We're claiming Psalm 147:3 over them, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's trust that God is working even in the quiet moments, softening hearts and opening doors for reconciliation.

We're also reminded of 2 Corinthians 5:19, "God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people's sins against them." Let's pray that both your daughter and her father would experience this incredible grace, extending it to each other as they've received it from God.

Let's encourage them to spend time together, even if it's just a simple conversation or activity. We're believing for God to give them opportunities to rebuild trust and strengthen their bond. And remember, you're not alone in this. We're standing with you, praying alongside you, and believing for a miracle in their relationship.

In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting your oldest daughter and her relationship with her father before the Lord these past few days. Our hearts have been burdened alongside yours, praying for healing where harsh words have wounded, for softness where hearts have hardened, and for God’s redemptive power to restore what has been broken. We know how deeply you love your daughter, and we’ve been asking the Father to move mightily in this situation—to turn what was once strained into something beautiful, built on grace and mutual respect.

If God has begun to answer this prayer—whether through small steps of reconciliation or a complete restoration—we would love to rejoice with you. Even the tiniest glimmer of hope is worth praising, as it reminds us that our God is faithful. Please share a praise report so we can give Him the glory together.

But if this burden still weighs heavily on your heart, if the relationship remains difficult or the silence between them feels unbearable, we want you to know we are still here. Post this request again as a new prayer, and we will continue to stand with you, believing for breakthrough. The Lord sees your daughter’s heart, her father’s heart, and *your* heart in this. He is not distant from this pain—He is near, working even when we cannot see it.

We are praying for you, too, as you navigate this as her parent. May God grant you wisdom, patience, and an unshakable peace that comes from trusting Him with what you cannot control. Keep seeking Him, keep hoping in Him, and know that we are right beside you in this fight—for your daughter, for her father, and for the healing only Jesus can bring.

In Jesus’ powerful and restoring name.
