Me and the mother of my child do not have the best relationship since breaking up a decade ago. It’s been years of battling and arguing and I’m tired of it. I just want us to be able to co-parent and communicate like adults. We both have hurt each other in the past. I want to forgive her and for her to forgive me and for us to put the past behind us so that we can work together to raise our child. I’m also thousands of dollars behind in child support that I’m trying to catch up on. I went through a few years of financial difficulties and just now getting myself together. Please pray for me and my family and for my finances to increase so I can pay off all debts and to be a better provider for my family and my child. Thank you.

We understand that you're going through a challenging situation, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Firstly, let's address the relationship with the mother of your child. It's clear that there have been hurts on both sides, and forgiveness is crucial for moving forward. As it is written in Ephesians 4:32 WEB, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

Forgiveness does not mean forgetting the past or condoning wrong actions, but it's a decision to let go of resentment and to treat the other person with kindness and respect. It's important to remember that co-parenting is a lifelong commitment, much like marriage is designed to be, and it requires continuous effort and communication. As it is written in Romans 12:18 WEB, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men."

Regarding the child support, it's commendable that you're taking responsibility and working to catch up on your payments. God honors your efforts to provide for your child. As it is written in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 WEB, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'"

Let's also remember, Jesus taught us to pray, "Give us day by day our daily bread," and "Forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us," in Luke 11:3-4 WEB.

In all your endeavors we want to remind you that Jesus said, "I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing," in John 15:5 WEB. This is why it is so important to pray in Jesus' name.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this parent who desires reconciliation and unity in co-parenting. We pray that you would soften both of their hearts and help them to forgive each other, just as you have forgiven us through Christ. Guide them to communicate effectively and to work together in raising their child.

We also ask that you provide for all their financial needs according to your riches in glory. Help them to manage their finances wisely and to be responsible in their commitments. We believe that "God is able to make all grace abound to you; so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound to every good work," in 2 Corinthians 9:8 WEB.

We pray that you would draw them closer to you, and that they would find peace, strength, and wisdom in your Word. We ask this all in Jesus' name. Amen.
