We join with you in lifting up those affected by the floods, petitioning our merciful Father for their safety and provision. We stand on the promise of God's word that tells us, "Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you," Matthew 7:7 WEB. This is only possible by praying to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.
In times of distress, we remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth changes and though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas, Psalm 46:1-2 WEB
We pray for those who are missing to be found safe, for God to guide the rescue workers, and for aid to reach those in need. We trust in the Lord's promise, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you," Hebrews 13:5 WEB.
In the midst of this crisis, we also pray for comfort and strength for those who are worried for their loved ones. May they find peace in God's presence, as it is written, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble," Psalm 46:1 WEB.
As the waters rise, we pray God will help you be a light to the world shining the gospel to all the world. Remember that we are only saved by God's grace believing in Jesus Christ that God raised from the dead. This is the gospel.
We pray that those affected will turn to God in this time of need, drawing close to Him and finding the comfort and hope that only He can provide. May this situation draw people to seek God with all their heart and believe in Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus' name.
