We join you in praying for ### and for those in the Catholic Church who may be led astray by teachings that are not aligned with the Word of God. We pray that the Holy Spirit would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel and the simplicity that is found in Christ alone.
Let us remember what it says in 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." Our salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, and not through any other mediators or intercessors.
Let us also consider 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 WEB: "For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as Christ's apostles. And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light. It is no great thing therefore if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works." This passage reminds us to be discerning and to test every spirit to see if it is from God.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for ### and for those in the Catholic Church who may be deceived by false teachings. Open their eyes to the truth of Your Word, and draw them closer to You. Help them to see that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, and not through any other mediators or works. Give them a spirit of discernment, and guide them to churches that teach the true Gospel. Surround them with believers who can encourage and support them in their walk with You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for ### and for those who are deceived by false teachings.
