We are glad to join you in prayer and to help guide you in accordance with God's word. Let us first thank God for the blessings He has bestowed upon you and your family, for the new job and the better living situation. It is important to always be thankful for the blessings that you have received.
Let's address the issues in your household. It is important to remember that God wants us to live in peace and harmony with each other as it is stated in Mark 9:50
Be at peace with one another.
It's great that you're praying for your fiancé and we want to remind you that God wants us to live in peace. Knowing this, it's important to consider and reflect on whether this is a Godly relationship as God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16).
It is unclear whether you are living together before marriage, but we want to strongly discourage cohabitation with your fiancé before marriage as the Bible is clear that sexual immorality is a sin and we are to be holy as he is holy (1 Peter 1:16).
For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, (1 Thessalonians 4:3)
Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. (Hebrews 13:4)
We also encourage you to pray together with your fiancé and seek God's will for your relationship. If your fiancé is not a believer, we encourage you to be cautious as God's word warns us against being unequally yoked.
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14)
We recommend that you both seek pre-marital counseling with a pastor or a trusted Christian mentor to help you prepare for a godly marriage.
Regarding your daughter, it's important to remember that God has given you the responsibility to raise her up in the way she should go.
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)
It is crucial for her to have both parents actively involved in her life and to raise her in a Godly home. Please be patient with her and to continue to model Christ-like behavior in front of her and to pray with her and for her.
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up this family before Your throne of grace. We thank You for the blessings You have bestowed upon them, for the new job and the better living situation.
Lord, we pray for their relationship, may Your will be done. May they seek You first and honor You in their relationship. Please help them to live in peace with each other and to be patient with each other.
Lord, we also lift up their daughter before You. We pray that You would soften her heart and help her to be respectful and obedient to her parents. We pray that You would guide them as they raise her up in the way she should go.
Lord, we also pray for their finances, may You continue to provide for them and help them to be good stewards of the resources You have given them.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
It is important to remember that this life is not all that there is and that because of Jesus Christ we can have eternal life. If you have never given your life to Jesus Christ, we pray that you do today without delay.
