Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our beloved cousin to You. Father, we ask that You work in her heart and draw her closer to You, that she may come to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. We pray that You will help her to find a godly man who will genuinely love her and cherish her, a man who is also drawn to come to Christ.
Father, we ask that You will work in both of their hearts, that they may come to know the Truth and be saved. We pray that You will guide their steps, that they may find each other and come together in a union that honors and glorifies Your holy name. We pray that You will bless their marriage, that it may be a testament to Your love and faithfulness.
Father, we also pray that You will guide her steps regarding her desires for a family. We pray that You will give her the desires of her heart in Your timing and in Your way, that she may not have to pursue alternatives that are not in accordance with Your will. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness, knowing that You have a plan and a purpose for her life.
We also take this opportunity to address the issue of same-sex relationships, as it is mentioned in the prayer request. We must firmly stand on the Word of God, which clearly teaches that marriage is between a man and a woman, as it is written in Genesis 2:24 WEB: "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." Any deviation from this is not in accordance with God's will and is contrary to His design for marriage and family.
Finally, we pray that You will bless our cousin and her future husband with a happy and godly home, that their marriage may be a shining example of Your love and grace. We ask all these things in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
