Eighteen months later, still asking for prayer for my ###. Went from addition, mental health for 15 mo to getting clean, coming home, no more addiction, no more medication, to having panic attacks, not leaving the house for weeks on end and starting a new medication. He stays up all night and sleeps all day. No job, he is full of fear. A Believer in Jesus Christ but full of negative views of himself, the world and life. I need as many people as I can to lift him up today in fervent prayer. I am ready for this to be over. Meds, start working! ###, God's got a plan and a purpose, believe! Devil, stay away from my ###, flee! Jesus, please reveal yourself to ###, heal him from the top of his head to the soles of his feet, bring restoration and wholeness!

We stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting up your loved one before the throne of grace. Eighteen months is a long season of struggle, but we know that God is faithful and His plans are for restoration, not harm. The battle against addiction, mental health challenges, and the lies of the enemy is real, but the victory is already won through Christ Jesus. We rebuke the spirit of fear, depression, and isolation in Jesus’ name—these things have no place in the life of a believer.

First, we want to affirm that your loved one’s identity is not defined by his struggles but by his position in Christ. Scripture tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." The enemy wants him to believe the lies of worthlessness and hopelessness, but God’s Word declares that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that God has plans for him—plans for hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that these truths would take root in his heart and mind, displacing every negative thought and replacing it with the truth of God’s love and purpose.

The cycle of sleepless nights and days spent in isolation is a tactic of the enemy to keep him bound, but we declare that this pattern is broken in the name of Jesus. We pray for the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, to guard his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). May the Lord grant him restful sleep, renew his strength, and restore his body, mind, and spirit. We also pray for wisdom for his doctors and that any medication he is taking would work as intended, bringing balance and healing without harmful side effects.

Fear is not from God, and we rebuke its grip on his life. Scripture reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We pray that he would walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, embracing the love of God and exercising self-control over his thoughts and actions. The enemy wants him to feel paralyzed, but God calls him to walk in freedom. We declare that he will rise up, step out in faith, and begin to engage with life again—trusting that God is with him every step of the way.

We also lift up his need for purpose and provision. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed." We pray that God would open doors for meaningful work or service, something that will restore his sense of dignity and contribution. Even if it starts small, may he see that God can use him right where he is. We ask the Lord to provide for his needs and to give him the courage to step forward in faith, trusting that God will equip him for whatever He calls him to do.

Most importantly, we pray for a fresh revelation of Jesus Christ in his life. The enemy wants to keep him focused on his struggles, but God wants to draw him into deeper intimacy. We ask that the Holy Spirit would overwhelm him with the love of Christ, that he would experience the presence of God in a tangible way, and that his faith would be reignited. May he encounter the healing power of Jesus, who bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4-5). We declare that every chain is broken, every stronghold is demolished, and every lie is exposed in the light of God’s truth.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is battling fear, isolation, and the lingering effects of past struggles. Lord, we thank You that he is Your child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and that You have a purpose for his life. We rebuke the spirit of fear, depression, and hopelessness in the name of Jesus. We break every chain that has kept him bound, and we declare that he is free in Christ.

Father, we ask for Your healing touch to come upon him from the top of his head to the soles of his feet. Restore his mind, body, and spirit. Bring balance to his sleep, peace to his heart, and clarity to his thoughts. We pray that the medication he is taking would work as intended, bringing healing without harm. Give him the strength to rise each day, trusting in Your faithfulness.

Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way. Let him experience Your love, Your presence, and Your power in a fresh and tangible way. Remind him of who he is in Christ—a new creation, called and chosen for a purpose. Break the lies of the enemy and replace them with Your truth. Give him the courage to step out in faith, to engage with life, and to trust You for his future.

We pray for provision and purpose, Father. Open doors for him to use his gifts and talents, whether in work, ministry, or service. Let him see that You can use him right where he is. Surround him with godly community—believers who will encourage him, pray for him, and walk alongside him.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would fill him with Your peace, joy, and hope. Let him know that he is not alone, that You are with him, and that You will never leave him nor forsake him. We declare that this season of struggle is coming to an end, and that he will walk in the fullness of the life You have for him.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.

We encourage you to keep standing in faith, even when the battle feels long. Galatians 6:9 reminds us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." God is at work, even when we can’t see it. Keep speaking life over your loved one, keep praying, and keep trusting in God’s perfect timing. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun (Philippians 1:6).

We're right there with you, lifting your loved one up in prayer. Eighteen months is a long journey, but we know that God is faithful and He's been with you both every step of the way. We're claiming Psalm 30:5 over him today, "For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." We're believing for that morning to come soon!

We're praying for a fresh outpouring of God's love and favor on him. That he would feel God's embrace, know His presence, and be reminded of how deeply he is loved. We're asking God to fill him with a sense of purpose and direction, that he would see the plans God has for him and step into them with confidence.

We're also praying for physical healing and restoration. That any medication he's taking would work as intended, bringing healing without harmful side effects. We're believing for restful sleep, renewed strength, and a restored body, mind, and spirit.

We're standing with you in faith, knowing that God is at work even when we can't see it. Keep trusting in Him, keep praying, and keep speaking life over your loved one. We're believing for a turnaround, for joy to come in the morning, and for him to walk in the fullness of the life God has for him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
