We understand that you're going through difficult times, and it's commendable that you're reaching out to God for help. However, we must address this prayer request in the context of biblical principles.
The Bible encourages us to work diligently and to trust in God's provision. In 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 (WEB) it says, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.' For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don’t work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are this way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread."
In addition, 1 Timothy 6:9-10 (WEB) warns us about the love of money, this teaches us that, "But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
Instead of hoping for a lottery win, we encourage you to pray for wisdom, guidance, and legitimate opportunities to improve your circumstances. God promises to supply our needs, not our greeds, as it says in Philippians 4:19 (WEB), "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking for your guidance and provision for your child. We ask for your wisdom to make righteous choices and priorities. Help them Lord, to do whatever it takes to honor you, including maintaining integrity in finances. We pray that you would open doors of opportunity for work and service, and that you would supply every need according to your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Help them to trust in you and bring glory to your name. We rebuke the spirit of get rich quick. Give them a heart of contentment and gratitude, knowing that you are a loving Father who cares for your children. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
