Prayer to use GOD'S grace more wisely

Jonathan_M

Beloved of All
Dear Family Of God, Today I'd like to pray that i use GOD'S grace more wisely. I pray for favor favor favor. I pray for miracles miracles miracles in pray for blessings blessings blessings. I'd like to pray against principalities and powers of darkness in high places. I pray for extreme, unmatched, unstoppable, unspeakable, abundantly, abounding glory all over the world. Please stand with me in faith, prayer and agreement over this. All these things I humbly ask in Jesus Christ name with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We rejoice with you in your desire to use God's grace more wisely and we stand with you in faith and agreement over this request. Your heart to seek favor, miracles, blessings and to see God's glory cover the earth, and to stand against the powers of darkness, honors the Lord, and we are thankful you have asked all of this in the name of Jesus Christ with thanksgiving.

We want to gently encourage you in what Scripture teaches about grace, so that we may walk in it wisely. Grace is not only unmerited favor for our needs, it is the power of God that saves us and teaches us how to live. For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world Titus 2:11-12. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them Ephesians 2:8-10. Grace is therefore not to be taken lightly or presumed upon, as Scripture also asks, What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer Romans 6:1-2. God gives more grace to the humble, for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble James 4:6, and He has said to us, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9.

We also join you in praying against the spiritual forces of darkness, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. We do not overcome by many repetitions of words, but by abiding in Christ, walking in obedience, and trusting His will. True favor and blessing flow from walking blamelessly before Him, for Yahweh God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly Psalm 84:11. And we share your longing for His glory to fill the earth, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Yahweh, as the waters cover the sea Habakkuk 2:14.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace through the blood of Jesus Christ, with thanksgiving. We ask that You teach us to use Your grace wisely, not as a license for our own desires, but as instruction to deny ungodliness and to live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world. Pour out Your sufficient grace upon us to walk in the good works which You prepared beforehand for us to do. Grant us humble hearts to receive more grace, and let Your power be made perfect in our weakness.

Lord, we ask for Your favor and blessing according to Your perfect will, not our own, and for miracles that will bring glory to Your name and draw many to salvation. We pray in the name of Jesus against every principality and power of darkness in high places, and we ask that You clothe us with Your full armor so we may stand firm in Christ. Let Your unmatched, abounding glory be revealed, and let the knowledge of Your glory cover the earth. Make us faithful stewards of all You have given us, using every gift for Your honor. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily in His Word, in prayer and in obedience, trusting that He withholds no good thing from those who walk uprightly, and that His grace will continue to instruct and empower you to live for His glory.

We are grateful you shared this desire to use God's grace wisely. That longing to walk faithfully with what He has already given you is a good and humble place to be, and we join you in asking Him to shape your steps.

Grace does bring favor and blessing, but one of its quietest and deepest works is forming us day by day to be more like Jesus. That kind of growth is usually gradual, with highs and lows over a lifetime, not all at once. We have found it helps to keep the focus simple and steady rather than trying to chase every breakthrough at once.

One practice that may help this week is to give a few unhurried minutes each day to be with the Lord in His Word and in prayer, asking Him to show you one concrete way to live out His grace that day, in a choice, a conversation, or an act of kindness, and to keep your attention on Him in worship with other believers when you can. As you do, you can trust the Holy Spirit to do the growing only He can do.

We pray for you now. Father, thank You for the grace You have poured out through Jesus. Give our friend wisdom to steward it well, to walk in Your favor according to Your will, to stand firm against darkness, and to reflect Your glory in daily life. Lead and keep him in Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer expresses a desire which itself is a work of Divine Grace, for none would ever seek that grace unless unsought grace had first been bestowed. You ask that you may use God's grace more wisely, and this is indeed the language of a steward who remembers that nothing is his own, it is all his master's.

Know this, that the grace of God is given freely in the most emphatic sense. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. It is given of Grace, it is received through Grace, it is understood by Grace. From sin's pit to Heaven's gate, without a break the whole road is paved with Divine Grace. Grace lays the foundation and Grace all the work shall crown, through everlasting days. It lays in Heaven the topmost stone, and well deserves the praise. If He saves you, it must be free grace, and free grace alone, through Jesus Christ alone, who bore shame and death that Grace might reign.

Therefore to use grace wisely is to be found faithful. This is the main point of stewardship, that a man be found faithful. Only the Grace of God can be sufficient for us that we may be found faithful. We are in danger when we begin to try to please our fellow servants and to curry favor with them that they may speak well of us, for then we shall soon be traitors to our Master. True favor is not the applause of men, but that forgiveness and freedom which Christ gives, when He sets poor souls at liberty and sends them away full handed. Do not seek favor as the world seeks it, but seek to be faithful to your Lord, remembering that He will come, and that will keep you from a loose and slovenly way of acting.

You pray also for miracles and blessings and for glory, and for deliverance from principalities and powers of darkness in high places. Hear then where true miracle and blessing lie. Where sin abounded, Grace did much more abound. Sin robbed us of silver, but Grace has given us gold. Sin slew this body of flesh, but Grace has given us a spiritual body which shall live forever. Grace has so entirely created anew the man that he is a new creature in Christ Jesus, and he runs with delight and joy in all the paths of holiness. Grace reigns unto eternal life. This is the abounding glory for which to pray, that Grace may reign in the midst of spiritual death and bondage and despair, in the battle of temptation and in the quagmires of infirmity, and be triumphant in our direst afflictions.

For our warfare, our master weapon is confidence in God. The Eternal God is our refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. You cannot sink so deep in distress and affliction, but what the Covenant Grace of an ever faithful God will be still lower than you are, even when at your very lowest. Look at your Savior, you are never so low as He was. Lift up the hands of faith and prayer, for those uplifted arms bring down Omnipotence itself from Heaven.

So I do stand with you in faith and prayer and agreement, not for an earthly abundance after the manner of men, but for that reigning, preventing and restraining Grace which keeps us and makes us holy and brings us safely home.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, we thank Thee that Thy Sovereign Grace waiteth not for man, neither tarrieth for the sons of men. Thou hast seen our ways and yet hast poured Thy Grace upon the utterly undeserving. Forgive us wherein we have not been faithful stewards of what Thou hast freely given. Grant us Grace to understand Grace, and Grace to use Grace as Thou wouldst have us use it, not for our own honor but for Thine. Make Thy Grace to reign in us unto holiness and unto eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Keep us by Thy power from the powers of darkness, and let Thy Grace much more abound where sin abounds, till Grace shall put us on the right hand and robe us in the righteousness of Jesus. All this we humbly ask in Jesus Christ's name, with thanksgiving, Amen.
