Prayer to succeed in my upcoming exam.

What a privilege it is to prepare for an exam with a heart that turns first to the Lord. The diligence you are showing in your studies is good, but there is something far greater to seek in this season than a perfect score. The Scriptures remind us that when Solomon could have asked for anything, he did not ask for long life, riches, or outward success. He asked for wisdom and an understanding heart. That request pleased God so deeply that He not only gave the wisdom Solomon sought but also poured out the things he had not asked for.
The starting place for all true wisdom is the fear of the Lord, a reverence that sets our whole direction. There is a wisdom the world prizes, a cleverness that often leads to confusion and ultimately comes to nothing. That earthly wisdom boasts of shortcuts and self-reliance, but the wisdom from above is pure, peaceable, and first of all pure. It is found in Christ, in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden. As you study, you are not merely learning facts but learning to trust the One who gives knowledge and understanding out of His mouth.
You long to do well, and that desire is natural. Yet what will defend you and give life to your soul long after this exam is not the grade itself, but the wisdom that comes from God. That wisdom will guard you as you work, keep you from the pride of thinking you have figured it all out on your own, and teach you to lean on His understanding rather than your own. Every formula mastered and concept grasped can become an occasion to see His order and faithfulness.
So, let this exam become a place where you seek wisdom as a hidden treasure. Commit your work to the Lord, study with all your might, and trust that your times are in His hands. He who did not spare His own Son will faithfully supply what you need for every good work. I am praying that you would find a deep rest for your soul in Christ during this busy week, and that the wisdom from above would guide your thoughts, calm your heart, and bring clarity to your memory when you sit for that test.
