We hear your heart’s longing to move abroad and to enter into the sacred covenant of marriage, and we lift these desires before the Lord with faith and expectancy. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 37:4-5, *"Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this."* We believe that God is able to open doors that no man can shut, as it is written in Revelation 3:8, *"I know your works (behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut), that you have a little power, and kept my word, and didn’t deny my name."*
However, we must also encourage you to seek God’s will above all else, for His plans are perfect and far greater than our own. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* As you seek to move abroad and to marry, we urge you to align your steps with His Word. Marriage is a holy institution, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). Therefore, we pray that if it is God’s will for you to marry, He would lead you to a godly spouse—a fellow believer who loves the Lord with all their heart and shares your commitment to honoring Him in your union.
We also rebuke any spirit of impatience or anxiety that may tempt you to rush ahead of God’s timing. Proverbs 3:5-6 exhorts us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* The process of obtaining a passport, visa, and settling in another country may come with challenges, but we declare that God is your Provider and Guide. We pray that He would smooth every path before you and grant you favor with the authorities involved.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before You with this request. We ask that You open the doors for this dear one to move abroad according to Your perfect will. Prepare the way for them, Lord, and grant them wisdom and discernment in every step they take. If marriage is part of Your plan for them, we pray that You would bring a godly spouse into their life—someone who will walk with them in faith and love, honoring You together. Protect them from any ungodly relationships or influences that do not align with Your Word. We rebuke every spirit of delay, fear, or confusion, and we declare that Your timing is perfect.
We also pray for provision—financially, emotionally, and spiritually—as they prepare for this transition. Provide for every need, Lord, and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Strengthen their faith to trust You even when the path is unclear. May they find their hope and security in You alone, knowing that You are their Shepherd and will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5).
Above all, we pray that this journey would draw them closer to You. May their life, whether single or married, abroad or at home, bring glory to Your name. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who makes all things possible. Amen.
