Prayer to release my husband from polygamy

Disciple of Prayer
My husband has another wife. This woman is diabolic in nature. She has tiex my husband using diabolic means. She is controlling him the way she likes. My husband is obsessed with her and spends most of his money on her. My prayer is for them to be separated permanently and free my husband from polygamy. I pray that the Lord will cast her out of my husband's l8fe forever in Jesus's name.

We hear your cry, sister, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. Your pain is deep, and your heart is heavy, but we know that our God is a God of justice, deliverance, and restoration. The situation you describe is not only a violation of the sacred covenant of marriage but also an affront to the very heart of God, who designed marriage to be a reflection of Christ’s love for His church—a love that is pure, faithful, and undivided.

First, we must address the issue of polygamy. Scripture is clear that God’s design for marriage is between *one man and one woman* for life. In Genesis 2:24, the Word declares, *"Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be one flesh."* Jesus Himself reaffirmed this in Matthew 19:4-6, saying, *"Haven’t you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh?’ So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart."* Polygamy is not God’s will, and it brings division, strife, and spiritual bondage—not only to the marriage but to the individuals involved.

We also recognize the mention of "diabolic means" and spiritual control. The Bible warns us in Ephesians 6:12 that *"our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* This woman’s influence over your husband is not merely human manipulation; it is spiritual warfare. But we serve a God who has already won the victory! In James 4:7, we are commanded, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* We must stand firm in faith, wielding the authority we have in Christ to break every chain.

We rebuke the spirit of witchcraft, control, and obsession that has taken hold of your husband. We declare that no weapon formed against your marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We command every ungodly soul tie, every curse, and every demonic influence to be broken in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! Your husband was created for freedom, not bondage, and we pray that the scales would fall from his eyes so that he may see the truth and return to his first love—both to you and to the Lord.

Now, let us pray together:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this sister and her marriage before Your throne. Lord, You see the pain, the betrayal, and the spiritual oppression that has taken root. We ask that You would arise as a mighty warrior on behalf of this family. In the name of Jesus, we break every ungodly soul tie between this husband and the other woman. We renounce and sever every demonic influence, every curse, and every spirit of control that has been at work. We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against it in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we pray for this husband’s deliverance. Soften his heart, Lord. Let him see the truth of his actions and the destruction they are causing. Remove the blinders from his eyes so that he may recognize the enemy’s schemes and turn away from this sin. We pray that You would surround him with godly men who will speak truth into his life and hold him accountable. Restore his love for his wife and his commitment to the covenant they made before You.

We also pray for this sister, Lord. Strengthen her in her faith. Let her stand firm, knowing that You are her defender and her provider. Heal her heart from the wounds of betrayal, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give her the wisdom to navigate this season with grace and the courage to set boundaries that honor You.

Lord, we ask that You would remove this other woman from their lives permanently. Let her influence be broken, and let her schemes be exposed and brought to nothing. We pray that she, too, would come to repentance and turn to You, but if she does not, we ask that You would remove her far from this family.

Father, we declare restoration over this marriage. Let Your love and Your truth be the foundation upon which they rebuild. May they seek You together, grow in faith together, and experience the fullness of the marriage You intended for them. We ask all of this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."*

Sister, we want to encourage you to stand firm in your faith and in the truth of God’s Word. This battle is not yours alone; the Lord is fighting for you. Continue to pray without ceasing, and surround yourself with a community of believers who can support you and hold you up in prayer. If possible, seek godly counsel from a pastor or Christian counselor who can help you navigate this difficult season.

Remember, God is a God of restoration. Joel 2:25 says, *"I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you."* Even now, He is working to restore what has been broken. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and do not lose hope.

Finally, we must address the importance of forgiveness—not for your husband’s sake alone, but for your own healing. Forgiveness does not mean what he has done is acceptable; it means you are releasing the burden of bitterness to God. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* This is a process, and it is okay to acknowledge your pain, but we pray that God would give you the strength to walk in forgiveness as He leads you.

You are not alone, dear sister. The Lord sees you, He hears you, and He will not abandon you. Keep trusting in Him, and hold fast to His promises.

We're here with you, sister, and we're lifting this situation up to the Lord together. We've been praying for you and your husband, asking God to open his eyes to the truth and to break any spiritual ties that bind him. We're claiming freedom for him, in Jesus' name.

We've been reminded of Ephesians 6:18, which tells us to "pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication." So, we're interceding for you, asking God to strengthen your faith and to give you wisdom in this challenging time.

We're also praying for your husband's heart to be softened, that he may see the error of his ways and turn back to you and to God. We're asking the Lord to surround him with godly men who can speak truth into his life and hold him accountable.

We're not just praying for your husband, but also for you, dear sister. We're asking God to comfort you, to heal your heart, and to fill you with His peace. We're praying that you would have the courage to set boundaries that honor God and protect your well-being.

We're believing God for a miracle in your marriage, sister. We're claiming restoration, healing, and a fresh start for you both, in Jesus' mighty name. Keep trusting in Him, and remember, "God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us" (Ephesians 3:20).

You're not alone in this, sister. We're here for you, and most importantly, God is with you. Keep holding on to Him, and let's continue to pray together.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
