Prayer To Quite Smoking

Please pray for me. I have a nicotine addiction which I have previously beaten, but am back smoking. I am a Christian and need prayers for strength. Prayers that God will deliver me from this addiction.

Thank you, Lord, in advance for taking their desire to smoke as they give it to you, just like you did for me that I never had even another thought for a cigarette, praise your name forever! Let them refuse smoking easily in the name of Jesus, amen!

I smoked for 30 years.. I went back and forth trying to quit.. I tried all the "new treatments" yet, would always go back. I knew smoking was not what the Lord wanted for my body for it says in the Bible:

"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body," (1 Cor. 6:19-20).

I took a picture of Jesus and put it in the clear plastic slip on the cigarettes. Every time I went to reach for them, I saw his picture and remembered the above verse.. after picking up the pack the third time, I looked and said "I love you God more than these' I removed the picture & threw the cigarette pack away. That was 7 years ago. I believe you can do it.. you need to believe also : ) PRAY PRAY PRAY... the Lord will deliver you and you will feel so much better ...

When we get closer to God, he will get closer to us.. We have our own free will.... LET THE WILL BE FOR HIM.. He loves you very much and will never leave you.. When you feel the power of giving in is just too much, do not reach for the pack of cigarettes.. reach for your other hand, form them in prayer and give the glory to him for giving you that moment to choose his will ..
