We are glad to join you in prayer and support as you seek to overcome this addiction. It is wonderful that you have brought this struggle to God, as He is our strength and deliverer. Let us remind you of the words in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." This includes overcoming addictions and finding freedom in Him.
We also encourage you to remember that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, as it says in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Honoring God with your body is a powerful motivation to break free from this addiction.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our dear brother/sister to You, asking for Your strength and deliverance as they seek to quit vaping. Lord, we know that You are able to break every chain and set the captives free. We ask that You would remove the addiction and help them through any withdrawals they may face. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, comforting and empowering them to feel OK without vaping.
We pray that You would renew their mind and body, helping them to see themselves as You see them—redeemed, holy, and beloved. Give them the perseverance to continue in this fight, knowing that the battle is Yours. Surround them with a community of support and encouragement, and let them feel Your presence with them every step of the way.
We rebuke the enemy and any strongholds of addiction in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare freedom and victory over this struggle, knowing that nothing is impossible for You. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and love.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Stay strong in the Lord, and remember that He is with you every step of the way. Keep seeking His face and relying on His strength. If you stumble, do not be discouraged, for God's grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Keep pressing on, and may God grant you the victory in this journey.
