We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting up your job and the challenges you face with those who may not wish you well. It is written in Psalm 91:9-11, "Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord who provided this job will indeed protect it and you from any schemes of the enemy.
We also recognize the importance of walking in integrity and wisdom in the workplace. Proverbs 22:29 says, "Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings. He won’t serve obscure men." Let us pray that the Lord would grant you skill, favor, and wisdom in all that you do, so that your work would be a testimony to His glory.
Father in Heaven, we ask that You would surround our brother/sister with Your hedge of protection. Shield this job from any plots or plans of those who seek to harm or hinder. Let Your light expose any darkness, and let Your peace reign in this workplace. We pray that You would grant our brother/sister favor with supervisors and coworkers, and that any ill will or envy would be turned to respect and admiration.
We also rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or discouragement that may be trying to take root in this situation. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that no weapon formed against this job or this child of God shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we ask that You would prosper our brother/sister in their work, not just for their own benefit, but so that they may be a light in their workplace. Let their life and work reflect Your love, grace, and excellence. May those who see them prosper recognize that it is You who has blessed them, and may Your name be glorified.
We also encourage you to continue to seek the Lord in all things, trusting in His provision and protection. Remember that your ultimate security is not in this job, but in Christ Jesus. As it is written in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your promises. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
