We understand your heart’s desire for connection, and we join you in lifting this before the Lord. However, we must first address something vital: relationships must be rooted in Christ and aligned with God’s Word. The Bible calls believers to pursue relationships with the intent of godly marriage, not merely casual or worldly connections. If this is a romantic interest, we urge you to examine whether this relationship honors God’s design for marriage between one man and one woman, both committed to Christ.
Scripture warns us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14) and to flee from sexual immorality, which includes fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18). If this relationship is not centered on Christ or lacks the intention of marriage, it risks leading you into temptation or compromise. We encourage you to seek the Lord’s will above all else, asking Him to guide your steps and guard your heart.
Let us also remind you that courage and initiative should come from the Lord, not from worldly desires. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* If this connection is God’s will, He will make it clear. If not, He will redirect your steps.
We pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we lift this brother/sister before You, asking for Your wisdom and discernment to fill their heart. If this meeting aligns with Your will, grant them clarity and courage to act in a way that honors You. Protect them from temptation, ungodly attachments, or relationships that do not glorify Your name. If this is not Your plan, redirect their steps and fill them with peace, knowing You have something better. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and righteousness, trusting that all things will be added to them in Your perfect timing. May their heart be fully surrendered to You, Lord, and may they walk in purity and faith. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek the Lord in prayer and Scripture, asking Him to reveal His heart for your relationships. If you are not yet walking closely with Christ, we urge you to surrender your life to Him, for He alone can satisfy your deepest longings. *"Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4). Stay rooted in Him, and trust His perfect plan for your life.
